Yikes. Looks like Captain Hero is going to have to buy three issues of Jughead and Double Digest now. :)

I doubt that the Jughead Double Digest will be going anywhere...even though it is on the low end of the digest sales, it's ranked #5 overall...but I could see the B&V Friends title disappearing...

Those sales figures certainly don't make me optimistic regarding the Archie comics long term. I'm concerned about them not realizing any outside ad revenue, that's got to hurt the bottom line. At least the digests are hitting numbers similar to the top half of Marvel and DC books.

Jughead has never really sold as well as Archie or the girls' book- I'm actually surprised it outsells "B&V Friends". He's not the flagship (like Archie) and his books have very few pretty girls or even an girl-related stuff at all (Archie's key audience for the most part), so it makes sense. It's really around kind of as an "Artifact" of the old days, as there's ALWAYS been a Jughead comic- it'd be kind of sad to lose it (and maybe embarassing to lose another title). Plus he's obviously Fernando Ruiz' favourite main character (either that, or he drew a really short straw, since he always draws Jug!), and the favourite of several other writers & artists as well- creatively, Jughead is probably the most-fulfilling book to work on.

I'd certainly hate to see his books go.

I think not including the Sonic and Megaman issues distorts the over all picture a bit.  Good to see the top selling series may be Betty and Veronica DD though.  Also seems like finding back issues will probably not be a problem for quite sometime into the future.  lol

Thanks for the link. I like the idea of anthology books and the 50's theme is a cool direction to start out with. I will keep my eyes open for when this comes available.

At first I was expecting Iron Ghost to be a continuation of the Shadow-type character from a few years back. The splash page looks good btw.

That surprises me- you draw so much Jughead! Granted, Reggie books haven't been produced in a long, LONG time.

I can't post the list because I'm having trouble with formatting. Anyway, as a reference using April sales there were 68 separate books that sold 30,000 or more. The top four sold between 103,000 and 158,000 copies. Through Diamond Sonic sold 8800 copies.   Let me know if you need info on a specific title.
