The story is called "Actions Speak Louder than Words" and originally appeared in Pep 140 (August 1960). Don't know if it has been reprinted in digests.

Archie and Reggie want to go to the country club dance, but both are broke.
While walking along the street, they spot a $5 bill. ($5 is the admission price for a couple at the dance). They both dive for it, and Archie comes up with the bill. The guys shake hands, Reggie walks home and Archie gets ready for the dance.

Then you see what is shown in the panels above.

Yeah, that's sweet. Two guys being "Bros", but in a cheeky way (I LOVE the frame where Reggie's face is just beaming and they're walking in like it's an actual date), doing the right thing after getting burned by a dame.

Haha, yeah. And the one where Archie was trying to get to school in the smallest number of steps. XD (There are also a few really great Jughead stories in the blog, including a half pager on Souphead, which is a character I'd been waiting to see.)
