  • DeCarlo Rules: I know once and a while the discount code gets as high as 30%, (in addition to whatever items they might have discounted otherwise), but the standard digest subscription price is already something like 40-45% off the cover price. I debated how long I should wait, and then just took the plunge with a 20% off code... naturally, the very next week the discount code went up to 25%. When it gets to 30% or 40%, I may extend my subs by another 2 years or so.

  • PixyJunket: Do the general coupon codes for ArchieComics.com work for Digest subscriptions?
    May 28, 2015, 07:20:23 PM
  • DeCarlo Rules: No, you're right... if you DON'T own those "Best of" collections, those two Jumbo digests are must-haves... great stories, but fair warning for those that did buy TBoAC... but my point is, something happened there to cause those hastily-thrown together REreprints that don't match the solicitation descriptions for those issues.
    May 28, 2015, 06:09:59 PM
  • PixyJunket: There's also the "trigger warning" at the front of the book, so I guess that means everything is unaltered too. Combine that with the source information and you have a wonderful format for Digests to compliment the New Riverdale stuff.

  • DeCarlo Rules: @PixyJunket -- I wonder what's going on with these recent Jumbo digests. In the case of both Archie Jumbo Comics Digest #260 and B&V Jumbo Comics Digest #233, ALL of the contents are drawn from the BEST OF ARCHIE COMICS series paperback collections. No other content outside of that, and neither of those match the contents as originally solicited in advance.

Anyone else playing the new Archie: Riverdale Rescue game?

What level are you at? I'm currently at level 15.

What do you like about it? Or dislike about it?

Level 3! Just started!

I like that you can build up relationship statuses. I'm going to try to make Jughead and Veronica get married. She'll hate that. :)

It is a free app for Apple iOS devices.

Here is the game trailer on YouTube:

I'll let you know what I think of it whenever they get around to releasing it for Android :)

At least I know it won't be hard to find friends for the game

There seems to be a glitch of sorts with the game. My game reset and I can't do anything with it. I'm hoping it fixes itself soon! I sent a note to Gogii.

I started playing this game last night.  It is my work iPad, so it is set to not let us download anything that costs money. I can play Riverdale Rescue in my spare time, but I can't buy the kiss packs they sell.  I desperately want to buy Kevin, Hot Dog, and Cheryl, but my only hope is to earn kisses with game play.

The problem is that I haven't figured out how to earn the kisses.  Does anyone know some strategies for getting the kisses as a reward? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Unfortunately, it's gonna take some patience on your part to acquire additional kisses. You'll get new kisses when you do things like move up a new level or at night when they do the daily slots. But those usually only come 1-3 at a time!

Personally, I'd seek out Hot Dog first if you're going the long route.

Hi everyone.  None of my FB friends play Riverdale Rescue, but I really want to try out some of the post office features that I keep hearing about.  If anyone would like to become FB friends for the game, send me a message. Thanks!   8)

I'd love to give it a try.

I'm having rapid "connectivity errors" this AM. If it doesn't fix itself by lunch time, I'll end a note to Gogii.

Me too, actually.  Mine keeps saying the servers can't connect. I'm glad it isn't just me.  I'm going through Riverdale Rescue withdrawal right now!!!

They seem to have fixed it now. It was an overnight problem on their end, according to their IT folks.

I'm happy it is working again.  I was bummed I couldn't collect all the points from the characters' overnight work.   :)

You don't realize you're addicted to something until it is taken away for a little while.
