  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

It's so cool to know someone with an inside tract...

No questions but I'm envious as heck.... how cool to have a parent working in comics. Mine would have a stroke if that's what they had to do for a living.

OK, maybe one question.... any chance of an amateur writing contest for Archie Comics? That could be fun.

OK two questions.... what's Tomoko's last name? (The Asian character that appears occasionally)

That's it. Again T...welcome to the board.  :) :) :)

Are you working for Archie Comics?

Are you planning on taking over for your dad when he retires?

How come Lil Jinx doesn't show up anymore?

Actually, she is pencilled into an old Wilkin Boy story in the latest issue of Jughead and Friends (#18).  Kinda weird, I know!

No questions at this time.  I just really wanted to express gratitude to the entire Archie family for giving up 65 years of entertainment, joy and fun!

Just know that every single one of us on this board is a huge fan, and it's very cool to have you join us on this board!

I had to read this twice... I first thought you meant Tgoldwater, not Li'l Jinx. And yes, THAT would be weird. :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

hey guys.  my dad acually wants to show me how to run some of the things in archie, because he does eventually want me to take it over.  and, the his partner Micheal Silberkilet also has a daughter my age, so maybe both of us will eventually take over the business.

I acually dont really read the comics, school is just way to busy. Every once in a while when i go to the office with my dad, i will read some of the ones that havent been released in stores yet and tell him how i feel about them.  Or, i get to read some of the great fan art you guys send in! thats always fun to do!

GWhitemore : I am acually not sure who tomoko is, because i dont really read the comics as much as i used to..sorry.
and, im sure there are some sontest where you can send in poems, but i am not sure if archie has the room to fit stuff for a writing contest.  i will have to give my dad a call and ask him.

No, it's understandable. Most children aren't into the same things as their parents. While everyone in our household are readers, our genres vary: I'm into comics and nonfiction, my wife likes romance, my oldest son likes hard sci-fi, fantasy and RPGs, my autistic son likes easy to read books, movie adaptations, picture books,  and dictionaries, my daughter likes fantasy and manga, and my youngest son likes Transformers, cartoon adaptations and card games -- like Pokemon and Yugioh. Hardly ever do our reading paths ever cross.

to each his own...
