Okay, I've added only "the core five" so far. I might added more later (in which case, you can change your vote).

Who is your least favorite character and why?

For me, it was a close decision between Archie and Jughead. I hate Archie, because he's a womanizing, forgetful, clumsy, inconsiderate jerk, but...I just don't care for Jughead at all. He eats and sleeps a lot, and I can't bring myself to care for him.

So I voted for Jughead.

Betty Cooper + Cheryl Blossom. It's inevitable.

Awwww...you voted for Jughead?  :'(

 ;)

Actually, given that list, I voted for Reggie.  Personally, I could never hang out with someone as self-absorbed as him.

Reggie, cause he's so sneaky and usually up to no good. At least Veronica has her good moments but I haven't seen any with Reggie except maybe when he plays football.

Okay, I had to go with Archie on this one.  I don’t hate him or anything, it’s just…well, I find him to be the most boring out of the core five.

Veronica because she's such a selfish, manipulative floozy who tries to make her "best friend", Betty look bad, steals men from other girls, and takes SO MUCH money from her poor dad!:P She also scolds, screams, and criticizes!

Anyone remember that creepy story where Veronica dreamed that she took over the whole town as her own? :o

Okay, so yeah this is old but it's my first time seeing this question..

I..... cannot answer it. It's like having to choose which limb to amputate!

I like them all but If I had to choose, it's Reggie.

Reggie is the least successful character in terms of being able to support a solo title so it seems lots of people may feel that way.

No fair, guys. It's a valid question just answer it.  ;D ;D

I'd rate 'em like this:

1. Betty
2. Archie
3. Jughead
4. Veronica
5. Reggie

Least favorite denotes someone you don't care for. I think with the core five that's a false assumption. I like them all equally, really. Each is unique and all of them have their good points and bad points. I really can't imagine the Archieverse without any of these great characters.

If we broaden the field to include any Archieverse character, I'd have to say Mr. Weatherbee. I don't find him effective as a prinicipal and he's not as funny to me as he is to everyone else. I'd think having a more militant, by the book character like VP (the name escapes me now...) or Samson Smythe would much more funny and rife with comic potential.

I love all five main characters, come to think of it.^_^

They all have good points and deep-seated flaws, too. That's what makes them tick interestingly.

Archie is innocent, heroic, and helpful (at least tries to.)
But he also treats Betty like dirt and is the bane of a few older men's existence, like Weatherbee and Mr. Lodge.

Betty is sweet, good-natured, and a 100% perfect role model for young girls.
She can also be dumb sometimes, manipulates Archie, and even gets mean, too.

Jughead is clever, charismatic, unconventional, and a loyal friend.
He eats, eats, eats too much, does stupid things, and refuses to help his mother (and sometimes, his friend, too!)

Veronica is gorgeous, stylish, charming, sexy, and a very wonderful character.
She's also backstabbing, selfish, hateful, manipulative, shallow, and very materialistic, too.

Reggie is handsome, talented, and surprisingly sweet at times.
He is also cruel, vain, narcissistic, immature, and even downright sadistic at times.

Also, they have been with us since 1940s and they are invaluable icons of the comic book world for so many generations, too!:) So we all need them to bounce off each other and make amusing stories, Reggie included of course! ;D

aww Gregg, I LOVE Mr. Weatherbee!!  So, yeah.... he's completley unrealistic... fraternizes with the students a little too much- like nothing in the real world.  But he's very distinctive to Archie... I haven't seen any other fictional principals like him (accept for Principal Skinner from the Simpsons- although it's obvious he was "inspired")

He's also somewhat of a loser compared to everyone else- he's odd and he tries too hard and he's unmarried- and he's made the butt of so many situations. I remember seeing a joke about crowining him "mr alley behind the 7-11" when all the other students were pictured as the respective representatives of their streets in some kind of pageant (it was an "improved archie", I think).

If Mr.Weatherbee was on the list I still wouldn't be able to choose!
