Time after time, I see Veronica dressed in a Cleopatra costume for parties, plays, Halloween, etc.

Any particular reason why?

I don't know exactly, unless maybe it's because she physically resembles her.

Although, it does make me think of a story illustrated by Dan DeCarlo that looks like it was originally done in the late 80s/early 90s.  There was a robbery at the museum and one of the robbers throws a necklace into Veronica's open convertible.  Veronica sees the necklace and immediately puts in on.  But, the necklace changes Veronica's personality and she thinks she's an Egyptian queen.  Eventually, Dilton finds out that the necklace holds a curse on it, so the rest of the gang go to Lodge Mansion and try to get the necklace back...but when they arrive, they find out Veronica is bathing in a bathtub filled with milk (which was how the ancient Egyptian queens used to bathe), and Betty was the only one who could get in.  Betty ends up pouring an entire bottle of oil over Veronica's head, distracting her enough for Betty to grab the necklace, returning Veronica to normal.  Really weird story, but it was pretty funny!

Because obviously only the lovliest Egyptian goddess remembered forever in the annals of history is appropriate for someone as equally beautiful and glamorous as Veronica. XD

There was one story where they were having a masquerade party, and Veronica was getting tired of wearing the same old costumes, so she calls Betty over to help. Long story short, Betty and the Japanese girl (don't remember her name) end up convincing Veronica to dress as a geisha. Because Betty had rushed over to help Veronica, she didn't have a costume, so she comes downstairs in Veronica's Cleopatra outfit, which of course makes all the guys drool over her, and makes Veronica mad.

This is one of the few pics where my attention is driven to Betty instead.  XD  I wonder if you stare at her bikini long enough you'll become hypnotized by the black and white lines. XD

I think it's probably half and half.  There was a user on this board a while ago who submitted something to Archie decades ago, and they printed it.  The user was looking for the issue.

But some of them are definitely fake.  Here's a fun fake one.  Read the first entry on the page:

Yeah, I don't know exactly what those photographs on the left represent.  A couple of them might be Veronica, a couple of them definitely aren't.
