  • JonInIowaCity: Checking out some of those main stories, it looks like Archie Double Digest is the one with new materials and the others are all reprints. Still, it'll be good to have more new Archie stories! :)

I don't collect the digests, but I was never crazy about the Story & Game covers when the cover itself was a game.

If we're going to see a cover with an extreme close-up of Betty and Veronica gossiping about Archie, we could at least get a spoken or visual gag behind it!

Of course, what's more unforgivable is having a spelling mistake in the cover gag itself.

Yeah, in a story, I can see how it can be missed.  A cover gag, though...I dunno...  ;)

Who's to say they aren't blue? We usually see nothing of the girls' eyes except the typical black dots.

This cover kind of stinks.

a) It's joke-free.

b) Archie is impressed by some really mediocre-looking cheerleading.  He should watch the competitions on ESPN sometime.  (Actually, knowing Archie, he probably does.)

The obvious joke is Archie's hideous flannel shirt.  Is he going to be giving out paper towels?

And is the asian-esque girl under Betty an actual character or just one of those phantom teenagers that roam the halls of Riverdale High like ghosts to be seen once and never again?

I always thought it was Tomoko.  The cover's too old for it to be Kumi.  :D
