This is a variant cover i made for Betty and Veronica by Adam Hughes though not considered official i just made it by myself to show you guys what you think of it.

Now recently the current art style for archie comics are considered realistic though they still got their "comedy" feeling  except the first official live action series RIVERDALE which will air on CW as it will be a teen drama/mystery series that is not faithful to the main archie series (shouldn't they  at least make it a teen comedy sitcom and maybe air on MTV)

Anyway I decided to make a variant cover but make the girls betty and veronica look cartoon like since the male classic archie characters( most of them) look cartoon like and they don't wear some "lipsticks" besides it's a "Funny comic book"

This variant cover i made shows betty hugging her best friend  veronica from behind  unaware that veronica looks angry at her and felt she would kill her according to her thoughts from her head.

Unlike other variant covers  which has the duo secretly battle each other and are considered frenemies,This cover depicted them as an odd Couple with Betty just a honest average girl while betty is considered a rich jerk with a heart of gold but couldn't stand hanging out with a common girl like betty .

The cover may not have color just a sketch drawing but  i attached it to a blank variant cover with photoshop. Also i made a signature in it.

Glad to see you're still working on your art!  Keep at it.  Veronica's balled fists are a nice touch, and of course Betty's ponytail makes her identifiable.
Comics!
