  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

Woooow!! I LOVE THAT!!! Dude you should totally work for Archie Comics as a colorist!! My only nitpick is Cheryl's hair is more orange than red, but other than that wow!

Not nitpicking at all, acf! I'll change it so it's true-er to Cheryl's red-red! :)

acf - nonono, you were right, her hair was the wrong color! Thanks for pointing it out, it really wasn't a hard change or anything. Didn't take but a few minutes so no worries! I'm glad y'like it! :)

I colored 'em awhile ago (I'm a slacker), but, I just really like 'em too much not to post them. I just think that honeybee did a wonderful job of drawing them, even if they are "just sketches". I really like the stylized way they're drawn too... Oh, and, as a nod to Gregg... I gave Cheryl some green eyeshadow.

*speechless*  :D

AyaBlue, come here -- I wanna give you a hug!

*cries*

Thank you, they're beautiful! I never knew my sketches could turn out like these -- alive! Look at them, they have highlights for their hair -- Veronica's hair is so pretty, like she's using a conditioner. And you gave them awesome make up (with green eyeshadows, bwahaha ;D nice touch!). Pretty blush on! The make up totally fits their personality. I loooooove their lipstick. Crimson red for Ronnie, Chocolate shine for Cheryl, and Pink soft for Betty  :-*
Lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely  :smitten: The colors brings out their beauty and personality, just awesome.

You can tell I'm pretty much giddy to see the girls looks ready for a photo shoot! :coolsmiley: Thank you again, AyaBlue! *HUGS*

Btw, what program did you use to color these?

The truth is, I never intended Betty to be casual like that. It was a quick sketch of Betty, and I wished I've done it better. I wanted to make a glamour Betty like I made C&V -- with the flowing hair and such, lol. But you made her pretty! Thanks again!

I have sketches of Midge, Ethel, and Nancy actually (not done, of course -- I'm a procrastinator), and I would like to see them in colors too if it's possible. I wonder whether AyaBlue and Gregg are kind enough to give them some pizzaz? I'd appreciate it

honeybee - I'm so glad you like them!! They were a lot of fun to color since I *really* liked your sketches, and the style you drew them in.  ;D

Per acf's suggestion, I fixed Cheryl's hair so that it was the right color. :) I was a bit concerned about obscuring your lines with Veronica's hair though, and I tried to make sure that, whatever colors I picked, you could still see the sketch lines.

*HUGS* back to you too, of course! :smitten:

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements for all my Photoshopping needs.  :)

I think Betty looks great, but, Cheryl was the most fun to color of the three of the girls. Granted, I like to color... so they were *all* fun! I wouldn't mind taking a turn at coloring other sketches of yours - eek, 3 girls with black hair! - and I'm sure Gregg will get his versions done before I do, 'cause he's getting really quick with his coloring skillz (yup, with a "z"!).  :D

Beautiful work as always Aya. Simply stunning. :)  :smitten: :smitten: Now I'm tempted to go and buy Photshop essentials. I haven't because our esteemed MJB gave it a bad review...

i was thinking of having nancy with other hair color than black, maybe little bits of light highlights...not like Beyonce, but more like Toni Braxton or Vanessa Williams. Soft but still strong. The hair color is not too bright, but has subtle light.... and as for ethel, because i always imagined her as a funky girl, maybe she has bits of purple or blue highlights  :D http://honeybeez.deviantart.com/art/Candybar-Ethel-89404983

something like that, so they would have various style of hair and hair color, and not at all dark hair. i figure it would be tough to color if they had the same dark hair, maybe?
