Scooby-Doo and Archie too!
« on: February 08, 2009, 08:38:28 PM »
I was just joking around in another thread and started thinking... wouldn't it be cool if there was a cross-universe meeting of the Scooby-Doo gang and the Archie universe?  I can think of a million cool stories....

Shaggy and Scooby hang-out with Jughead (and maybe Hot Dog)
Archie chases after Daphnie
Dilton falls for Velma
The girls go crazy for Fred

Sadly, Archie and Warner Brothers aren't probably looking to do something like this - I see them more as competitors.

Fun to imagine though!
No matter where I go, there I am.  Creepy.

Haha yes! That would be so fun! This type of idea/crossover was done years ago with Scooby and one of the shows I watched on Cartoon Network called Johnny Bravo, and there was even an Archie reference in it. Johnny called Shaggy 'Jughead' lol. Also, similar to your idea, he was hitting on Daphne the whole time. xD In case anyone's interested, here's the link. You don't need to know who Johnny Bravo is to enjoy it. It's pretty funny either way. :P

No.

Well, I'd be okay with it if it was limited to Archie's and Jughead's titles, because I don't read those. :P I don't want Poopy-Doo-Doo lameness bringing down B&V's titles.

What about the issue where Cheryl confesses that she likes the TV show "Mystery Crew" to Betty?  They both end up starting a "Mystery Crew" fan club because they both especially love "Chewy Boo" the cute dog that always likes to eat snacks.

I think Betty says:  "That dog and his friend remind me of a certain two friends of mine" and Cheryl then replies "Which one is the dog?"

Then they head off to Cheryl's pool and dance in bikinis - at which point Veronica gets jealous and challenges Cheryl to a "Mystery Crew Bikini Dance-off"

I would have thought that old story would have been one of your favorites!

Well, Betty and Cheryl's friendship officially began in Cheryl Blossom #23, and I have #20-37, and I don't recall reading any such...

You made that up; didn't you?
