  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

  • Biollante: Joe Quesada was drawing Thor on some Disney promo, and he drew him flying with his hammer on his side, now I'm not a Thor junkie, but isn't that actualy inaccurate, doesn't he fly by being dragged by his hammer???

  • Biollante: gonna be hard for anyting to catch up, Ridley Scott is pretty much the top of dark visual design imo, and he drew a lot from Moebius for that film, most fillm makers are not really connected to aestheticas of good fantasy film making in the same way

Superteens TV Show/Game ???
« on: January 28, 2012, 07:43:22 PM »
Is there going to be a TV series , or a game , whatever , of the Superteens considering all the exposure they've received on the Digests lately ???????

I don't think the concept would fly at this point.  Maybe if it was the 70's, but it's all way to corny for the audiences that watch most cartoons now.  I think the Justice Friends style of cartoons died with the 90's X-Men and Batman cartoons.  I guess there's that team-up Batman cartoon, but that's sort of self-parody and an outlier.

...But , then , why are they making such use of STs stories of late thein gests , which are rather the titles most " normal " people , I suppose :D :tickedoff: :(!!!!!!!!!!!  , see/ seen as seeing , not the 32-papgers - ?
Early on in my life on this board , there was a post reporting a possible STs TV series , with all the characters in one show , which would seem to be enough for a reasonably varied series , a series about just Pureheart or Captain Hero might be a bit much , but , having all of them.........That could have just taken a long time to coalesce(Sp??) , and giving the STs such plugs of lately could be seen as doing so.........I'm aware there were some book collections of the 60s ST material recently , I hope the stories that have been reprinted in the digests recently haven't made too much ( Hopfully , none at all . ) use of the storiew that have just recently been reprinted.........
How many STs are there in total ??? Pureheart , Superteen , Evilheart and Captain Hero are the original 4 , and are the ones depicted on the last digest I bought , A&FDD#11 , but I believe Veronica , possibly Moose , and , in that recent Tom DeFalco story in Jughead's digest , " Big " Ethel have been shown in " Super-ized ' form...

Someone said earlier they were trying to maintain the copyrights, but I guess that doesn't explain why they would have more than one appearance.

Actually, Filmation in 1980-1981 was planning to revive the Archies as The Super Archies but because of losing the Archies licence they redid it as The Kid Super Power Hour with Shazam (with the Hero High segment) which made NBC Saturday Morning lineup in 1981-1982.
