okay, what happened here?

Some kind of kinky fantasy dream sequence of Archie's??  :D

daren

I saw some more panels from that story somewhere, I'll try to find it.

I'm going to guess that in the story B&V got kidnapped (probably something to do with holding Veronica for ransom, and maybe they weren't sure which was the Lodge girl, or they had to take both girls to keep Betty from identifying them). Veronica's got scissors and is cutting Betty's ropes, so they're about to free themselves.

At first glace I thought it was Lucey's work, then it looked like Decarlo, but it is actually Bob White  :D
It's from Life with Archie #37. Some burglar gets to Mr. Lodge's safe and runs away with the money but not before bounding and gagging the girls.

Or as I like to call him, the severely underrated Bob White. He only worked for ACP for a comparatively brief span (a little less than a decade), but his is some fine artwork. LIFE WITH ARCHIE was his baby during that time, but he also contributed to numerous other titles, with quite a few covers during that time (as well as doing everything on COSMO THE MERRY MARTIAN, his own creation).

Okay. I just thought it was funny because it looks nothing like Lucey's work and isn't even proportional to the rest of his body. Nevermind then.

I think you are right Tokyo. Whoever drew the head, its not Lucey. I'd be interested in seeing the original. I suppose they didn't cite the original story?

Lucey, probably badly inked over by someone in the production department, or an attempt to copy his original over. Almost looks like it could have been done with a felt tip pen. Reproduced from a damaged transparency, no doubt.
Not sure of the original publication, but it goes back to at least Life With Archie #115 (Nov. '71 cover date).

I can go along with this being badly inked.  Maybe trying too hard to make the caricature more identifiable?
Comics!

BettyReggie

It looks like be a scene from 50 Shades Of Grey.

I wonder if it had anything to do with Oldiesmann making that change to a more secure website. Hm. Okay, here's the picture. It's also in my second album right at the beginning (currently)....:
