  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

5000th Post!
« on: September 21, 2007, 07:25:08 PM »
For those of you who haven't been paying attention, I am pleased to announce that this is the 5000th post on this board!

I've been watching the post count over the past few days, and seeing as to how there are 4999 posts, I figured I might as well make the 5000th post :)

It's hard to believe how far this forum has come in such a short time!

I got so confused...I thought a MEMBER had made 5000 posts!

I'm continually amazed by this site.  I think when I joined 13 months ago, there was only 14 members here, 5 of which actually posted.

What a difference a year makes!

Yeah, I'm amazed as well. I remember the early days of the forum - hoping someone would join, trying to post things that might draw people in... Now we've had 18 new members this month alone. It wasn't that long ago when we hit 4000 posts. Can't wait to see what the forum is like a year from now.

Even in the almost 12 months since I've been here we've really grown by leaps and bounds. What's better is that every one here brings something unique to the table. We have a great cross section of ages, sexes, fans and pros. I'm really glad I met all of you here. Sometime we all have to get together and throw an Archie fans party... maybe travel to Mamaronneck, New York as our central meeting spot!!! :)

Congrats to all for making this a fun site!

Looking at the stats, I see we've hit over 10,000 posts. Who had the 10,000th one Oldiesmann? They should get some site recognition....
