Give me a bit to tweak things. If you think things are better without the custom namespaces, I'll get rid of them.

You can add category tags as much as you want

Just add [[Category:Name]] at the bottom of the page.

I understand now that the coding is different. I did try to load an image on to the Timely take book, but it didn't work. Also the correct title is Archie & Friends but the wiki didn't like the & symbol, so I changed it.

Hate to tell you this, but when I killed the custom namespaces a few minutes ago, it also killed those articles

I fixed the Elizabeth "Betty" Cooper thing for you. The WYSIWYG editor does weird things sometimes

I deleted the "Character:Betty_Cooper" article. Didn't think I deleted the other one. I'll go un-delete it if possible.

Ok. I restored the original article. Somehow when I tweaked the layout earlier it got deleted. Sorry about that.

I didn't do to much else, but I wanted to add a graphic to it. I thought about adding and linking all the Archie titles thread I did last week under the term tag "Titles" onthe portal. Is everyone ok with that? It would be alot of work, but I should be able to get it done today if that's what we want to do.

Oldiesmann, do you like the portal that way I did it or did you have another idea? I swear I really have no idea what I'm doing just kind of making it up as I go... I was thinking of a quick, easy navigation tool, but am open to suggestions.

I think we'll have to play with it more and get used to everyone's approaches before we find our nich.

But I'm having fun!

Gregg, just add a [[Category:Titles]] tag at the end of every title article that you create. It'll link here:

Similarly, adding a [[Category:Characters]] tag to any character article will link here:

In both cases, there's no need to modify the Category:Titles or Category:Characters pages. They'll update automatically. That's why they're more efficient than regular Titles (of which I've erased the contents) and Characters pages.

Part of the problem is I've never done any work like this before, so it's very new and exciting. Thanks for the corrections. I 'll try to keep those in mind when I do the next one.

Tuxedo or Oldiesmann do you think I should import that title list I generated a few weeks ago, or would thatbe overkill? ( I would edit it to include just the Archie and related books) Do you think we should identify individual issues? If so, what do you suggest?

Individual issues will be identified - as will individual stories. As for exactly how individual stories will be identified, I'm not exactly sure how. They'll definitely be listed in the individual issues' articles. From there, there could be links to later issues that reprint the stories. Multiple stories with the same titles could have disambiguation pages of their own with links to the individual issues' pages (along with brief summaries to help, maybe).

I've created articles for Betty, Betty Cooper, Cheryl Blossom, Veronica Lodge, Riverdale, Riverdale High School, and the Archieverse so far.

I'm still having problems with paragraphs being broken up and linked words being doubled upon submitting my changes.

Also, I tried creating an article for Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe, and it wouldn't let me. Maybe it's an issue with the apostrophe?

hi Tuxedo,

check out http://wiki.archiefans.com/Veronica_Lodge. I did some minor editing (the spacing, the breaks for the articles, etc.) and added a pic. If you want a different pic, we can change it.

As for the spacing, when your in the edit mode, click on the "wikitext" box. That's where you can correct allthe page breaks the editor keeps putting in.

re: the apsotrophe... I had the same problem with Archie & Friends. I think you're right: it's the special characters the editing program doesn't like.
