  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

  • Biollante: gonna be hard for anyting to catch up, Ridley Scott is pretty much the top of dark visual design imo, and he drew a lot from Moebius for that film, most fillm makers are not really connected to aestheticas of good fantasy film making in the same way

New Features
« on: July 26, 2007, 12:18:45 PM »
Just a quick announcement to inform everyone of a few new features I've added:

Bookmarks - this lets you keep track of your favorite topics. To add a bookmark, simply click the "Bookmark" button in a topic. You can view and manage your bookmarks by clicking on "My Bookmarks" in the menu.

Invites - Send unique invite links to your friends. Get credit for inviting them when they register. Click "Invites" in the menu for more info.

Arcade enhancements:
Trophies in posts - shows up to 5 trophies in your posts for games that you have high scores on
Shows top 3 scores for each game on the main arcade screen
Ability to choose whether or not to receive a PM when your high score is beaten (Profile -> Personal Message Options; you will need to change this if you do want to get a PM for this)
Game topic (not sure exactly what this is, but I've enabled it in the "General Discussion" board, so we'll see what it is :))
Fun arcade stats in your profile

I am also going to be playing around with some arcade-related blocks, and have a few more games to install, so keep watching for more fun stuff :)

Ok. Figured out what the Arcade Topic feature does. It creates a new topic in the specified board for each game where you can discuss the game and report errors.

Since this could be a fun addition, I've created a new board for it in "General Discussion". However, posts don't count in that board and you won't receive shop credits for posting there. Enjoy!

Also, a few other changes have been made:
Arcade info moved to the top of the arcade screen - displays more details and saves some space.
Installed three new games: Gyro Ball, Sonic Rival Dash (doesn't seem to work at the moment) and Sonic Pacman.

More games will be installed soon :)

The new features are good ones.

The only con I have is that all the buttons are smooshed together on the menu bar.  It looks like one gigantic word with about eighty-nine letters!

I'm going to put up a menu block on the left hand side to take care of that issue soon.

Added some more info to the navigation menu and changed the settings to display that block and the random image block everywhere. Let me know what you think - if everyone is fine with the changes, I'll clean up the forum menu some to make it less crowded.
