  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

Site Upgraded
« on: February 18, 2011, 04:04:37 AM »
The site has been upgraded to the latest version of the forum software.

However, the upgrade is still a work in progress, as you might have guessed.

Here's a list of what I still need to do as far as the upgrade goes:
Theme - Everyone has been reset to the default theme for the time being. The orange theme will be returning as soon as the author gets me an updated CSS file that he overlooked - I was not aware of this issue until after I had already upgraded or I would have taken care of it prior to upgrading. The "Core" theme (older blue one with tabs) is still available from your profile, but I can't guarantee that all the extras will work with it. I will be installing a new green theme in the morning - the one I had installed isn't available anymore.

Features - The Ultimate Profile and Relate Topics features are not installed at the moment due to their incompatibility with this version. I will look into those tomorrow. I will also be re-installing the toolbar once the orange theme is available again.

As with last time, there are no new features in this version of the forum system - just lots of bugfixes. Also, the AJAX quick reply should be working again :)

I hope to have everything back to "normal" within a week, and would have held off on the upgrade had I known about the CSS issues. Hopefully these issues won't be a major problem for anyone.

I've gotten most of the theme issues worked out now... Still need to make some minor changes here and there.

I've also installed a new green theme called "Grasslands Curve Variation" for those who like that version.

You now have four themes to choose from:
Asude - default forum theme
Core - older blue/gray theme with tabs - I'm still not sure if I'll be keeping this, as some of the addons don't work properly with this theme. I still need to see what I can do to make them work.
Curve - Similar to the default theme but with blue and white instead of orange and gray
Grasslands Curve Variation - similar to the default theme but with green colors instead of the orange

Things I'm still working on:
The "buttonstrip" buttons ("New Topic", "Reply", etc.) don't quite look right
Gallery font is a bit too large
Need to get "Related Topics" and "Ultimate Profile" addons installed again
Arcade is missing all of its games

Let me know if you find any additional issues, and also if you plan to use the Core theme.

Arcade was fixed yesterday, for those who didn't see the shout. Going to work on fixing the Ultimate Profile and Related Topics addons, and am working with the theme author to fix the button issue.

Added the shop and Ultimate Profile addons again. The shop was initially overlooked when I was doing the update.

I've also added an additional line between the quick reply box and the related topics list so things don't look quite as cramped. Will work on making it look nicer tomorrow when I'm off.

Still need to tweak the gallery font size a bit as well.
