  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

  • Biollante: gonna be hard for anyting to catch up, Ridley Scott is pretty much the top of dark visual design imo, and he drew a lot from Moebius for that film, most fillm makers are not really connected to aestheticas of good fantasy film making in the same way

Does anyone here have anything to say about Duke Nukem , reflecting the new Duke Nukem Forever home game ( I'll assume that it was an arcade at some time , too , to strictly anal-retentively stick to the forum of this board :D ) that I've seen advertised on bus shelters and sides here in San Francisco ?
  I remembered the name , and was interested to see the " Batman/Wu-Tan Forever "-ish title , thought " Oh , are they going for Nineties nostalgia " ? 8)
  Then , I found out that...this game was ANNOUNCED TO APPEAR IN 1997 , ONLY APPEARING NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOO boy  :o :laugh: .
  What , someone's got a SERIOUS hookers-and-blow habit ?
  Or some Howard Hughes level of mania ? It's Guns'n'Roses territory here :2funny ;D ;D .
  I am just SO non-involved w/" viddy " games in general , but ;D.........

It's unfortunate this came out.  It woud've been more amusing if it had stayed vapoware forever.  Maybe they'll release Dai-Katana next.  lol

I never played the other game, and I just lost my PS3, so looks like I won't be playing this one either right now.  I did notice, however. he ripped off some of his one liners from Bruce Campbell.  lol

All that time in development and it's already faded into obscurity a couple of weeks later.  Duke Nukem 3-d was a classic.
