  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

Favorite secondary character?

Whose your favorite secondary character (cannot be one of the core five)? It can be from any Archie publication, but you can only choose one! (Evil, aren't I? LOL)

Had to think about this for a long time because there are so many good characters, but I finally decided on my favorite. She's beautiful, talented, and carries on a conversation like no one else. She's humble, vivacious, and rooms come to a halt when she walks in. No matter who's writing her, she's written and drawn very consistantly and no matter what the situation, she always makes me laugh.

Melody Valentine :).

Next?

I'm going to vote for Ms.Grundy just because good writers have been able to give her some real depth instead of just a teacher in the background to be used as a plot device. The fact that she's an adult means that they can expand on her a bit and make her more three dimensional.

Cheryl Blossom. I've always found her more interesting than Veronica. It's probably because she isn't over-the-top like Veronica is often written. The over-the-topness makes Veronica more of a plot device for Betty to react to, rather than a true friend like Cheryl.

Betty Cooper + Cheryl Blossom. It's inevitable.

Okay, okay, I know, necroposting to the max here, but I just had to get my two cents in. =P

Anyway. Favourite secondary character. What a question! I'm actually incredibly tempted to second the sentiment with whoever said Ethel. She's obsessively sweet (make sense of that!), not to mention incredibly fun to write. I love Chuck too, simply because he's an artist.

...but then I revisited my collection and realized my inexplicable soft spot for Frankie Valdez.

So, uh, Frankie it is. =D *blush*

Nothing wrong with necroposting.  It's good to see topics get revived.  Sometimes things drop off too quickly.

My favorite secondary character might be Ethel as well.  If the Archie characters were real people, I think she would be a honest and faithful friend.
