  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

What Would Jugead Be If He Ever Grew Up?
« on: January 24, 2012, 03:46:08 PM »
I know we all want Jughead to remain just the way he is, but i was wondering what would be the ideal profession for Jughead Jones? Anyone as unique as him can't have a mundane common place job, can they?  :smitten:

I was thinking psychologist, becoz of the way he observes ppl , his analyzing ability and the way he looks at everything from his own unique POV,without being influenced by conventional ones.......

I could see Jughead actually running a four-star restaurant as head chef.  And before anyone throws out the "he's lazy" card, he could always pad his staff with sous chefs to make up for the prep work.  ;)

One big problem with this though.  Jughead is portrayed as a gourmand, not a gourmet.  So he may actually not have the palate to know what good food is supposed to be.  So I think the more likely option is him running some kind of low class buffet that pushes quantity over quality.

Agreed. What's more, he likes to eat food, but does he like to create food? I dont think i ever got that impression from him.

Actually, there was a story that was printed about ten years ago, which showed Jughead trying to guess the ingredients in certain dishes, and he got every single one right.  I think Gaston was even worried that Jughead would discover all of his secret recipes.  There was a twist involved in which Jughead didn't guess every item, but I think he could probably do haute cuisine in addition to every day grub.

Besides, like I said, Jughead's laid back manner of working would probably require a large kitchen staff...you know, so they can do the prep work while Jughead cooks.

Yeah, I think they reprinted it in a Double Digest awhile back. He was having all sorts of bad luck and decided to just end it by saying the last ingredient was bubblegum. Is that the one?

That is exactly the one I'm thinking of.  I just couldn't remember the ending!  Thanks!  :)
