we did let this slide a bit while life got in the way, but the Captain and I are working on it behind the scenes. If anyone has a plot they'd like to explore, send us a PM. Otherwise we'll hammer out the rest (plot, writing order, simple rules, etc) in hopefully the next few days and start the fun!

I will also be the editor for anyone that wants one.

This is my fault... I sent CH some ideas but got busy doing other stuff -- dang life for interfering! The Captain really liked one of the ideas I sent that I felt had tons of comic potential! I'll pm CH and see how we wanna do it. Sorry for the delay of game, all.

On the other hand, it still more lively the Archie RPG!!

Veronica bolted into the living room and managed to grab the phone during its second "b-r-r-r-ing!"

"Hmmph, I'll bet it's Archie," thought Betty, edging closer to the room Veronica had just disappeared into. Betty knew it was wrong to snoop, but, curious, she strained to listen in.

Sure enough,...

"Archiekins!" exclaimed Veronica, "Oh, of course I'm not busy... Just... hanging out. What's up?"

Betty stifled a groan. "I'll bet he's calling to ask her ...

"Well!" exclaimed Betty "Two can play THAT game!"
She pulled her cell phone from her purse and dialed a number.  A few moments later, she closed her phone and placed it back.
"Who were you talking to?" asked Veronica as she reentered the room.
"Oh...um...nobody" Betty hastily replied. "um... gotta go!"
"What a strange girl." thought Veronica as she watched Betty head back out into the rainy weather.

"Archie!"  Betty exclaimed, flashing a sultry smile.  "What a nice surprise!"

"Well, your call sounded urgent."  Archie said, folding up the umbrella he had been carrying.  "This rain is really coming down, isn't it?"

"Sure is."  Betty said.  "Please.  Do come in."

"What did you want to see me about?"  Archie asked, walking into the Cooper family living room.

Betty sat down on the sofa.  She was dressed in a simple white dress...the same dress she wore on a recent date with Archie.  Knowing that Archie liked the dress, she figured she could use that to her advantage.

"I called to ask you about the homework assignment in Professor Flutesnoot's Physics class."  Betty said.

"Betty, you want MY help?"  Archie asked.  "Are you forgetting the chem lab explosion of 2007 that caused my grades to plummet?"

"I actually missed copying down the questions we had to answer in the text."  Betty said coyly.  "Do you think you can show me what they are?  We can do the assignment together, and I'll bake you some cookies."

"Sure.  Sounds good."  Archie said.

Betty smiled slyly as Archie sat down beside her, hoping that they would discuss more than just physics.

"So, Betty, we start on Chapter 7, page 189, Questions 2-16."  Archie explained.  "You got that?"

"You bet I do."  Betty said.

And, then the doorbell rang at the Cooper household one more time...

"Whoa, there Blondie!", Reggie shrieked as he backed away, "what's got you so upset? You're not usually the violent type!"

Betty lowered her hands, which she had clenched into fists. It seemed like her time with Archie was always being interrupted, still... it was just another stupid Mantle prank. There was no reason she should get so miffed.

"Uh, sorry, Reg... I've just been really stressed lately," Thinking to herself, "Great, I probably freaked Archie out too, losing my temper like that!"

"No harm, no foul, sweets," sneered Reggie. "Hey, are you both going to be able to make it this weekend?"

"What are you talking about, Reggie," asked Archie. "What's going on this weekend?"
