  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)
    May 21, 2012, 07:23:13 AM
  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

  • Biollante: Joe Quesada was drawing Thor on some Disney promo, and he drew him flying with his hammer on his side, now I'm not a Thor junkie, but isn't that actualy inaccurate, doesn't he fly by being dragged by his hammer???

  • Biollante: gonna be hard for anyting to catch up, Ridley Scott is pretty much the top of dark visual design imo, and he drew a lot from Moebius for that film, most fillm makers are not really connected to aestheticas of good fantasy film making in the same way

It was just the one page, and it looked like it'd been ripped, and then glued. >_<, What's "tpbs" stand for?

sorry, yes tpbs is trade paperbacks! anything paperback larger than pocket size is commonly refered to as trade paperback.

We've had terrible problems with TPB bindings from IDW and Dark Horse at the library. They only get read a few times before they start falling apart. As a result, the librarians are no longer buying soft trade paperbacks. :(

The only odd one I had was a hardcover that had the insides backwards, so if anyone sees me reading it, they'll think I'm reading it upside down!
No matter where I go, there I am.  Creepy.

MJB - I realize that, but, like with Gregg, sometimes they're just so strange that it would seem a shame not to keep them!
Oh I agree! I still have the G.I. Joe comic...

Update! WEll I called archie comics today. And they looked up my info, I told them about the two comics, and they said they will send the two in the mail for me. Whoo hoo. That was so easy. Should have called them in the first place. Thanks archie comics, and thank you guys for your advice on me calling them.

Glad things worked out, Tiff.  It's nice to see companies care about their customers as Archie Comics obviously do.  Many times, customer service is chucked out the window, just to make a profit.

My workplace is proof positive.
