Just wanted to post this real quick to give everyone an idea of the changes I'm planning for the wiki in the coming weeks/months.

As I mentioned before, I've installed a new extension (addon) called Semantic MediaWiki. Basically, this gives us a wealth of opportunities and will make organization and such a lot easier.

The biggest feature is that it allows us to create various properties, and assign those properties to articles. This in turn allows us to quickly generate lists/tables of articles based on the value of specific properties.

In short, this means we can create a single article about a particular story, add some code, and have it contain a list that shows every issue in which the story appears. When an article is added to the wiki for an issue containing that particular story, we simply add something like "[[Story::Name]]" to the issue's article, and that issue will automatically appear in the list of issues in the story article.

It will take some time before we get things well-documented, but here are my current plans as far as properties for different things...

Issues

• Issue Number
• Title (optional, mostly used for the Giant Series issues)
• Cover date
• Cover art info (artist, etc.)
• Number of pages

Titles

• Year first published
• Year last published (if not published anymore)
• Continued as (for the situations where the series was renamed)
• Number of issues

Stories

• Title
• Credits (artist, writer, inker, etc.)
• Characters

Characters

• Hometown (Riverdale, Pembrook, etc.)
• Father
• Mother
• Siblings (if applicable)
• Other relatives

This will eventually allow us to do the following:
See all issues published in a particular month and/or year
See all stories in which a character appears (though these lists will get pretty long)
See all issues in which a particular story appears
See all stories that a particular person has a specific credit on (writer, etc.)
See all issues with cover art by a specific person
