  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

  • Biollante: gonna be hard for anyting to catch up, Ridley Scott is pretty much the top of dark visual design imo, and he drew a lot from Moebius for that film, most fillm makers are not really connected to aestheticas of good fantasy film making in the same way

The reason I ask is because I've just started up a blog of my own...a blog that basically combines my love of pop culture with life lessons learned along the way.  Here's the link to mine, if you'd be interested.  Believe me, I'm not selling anything with it...just for fun.  :)

Anyways, I thought I'd ask if any of you took up the craft of blogging too.  Have any followers?  What are your blogs about?

Mine only has one entry in it so far, but as more pop culture references pop up, I'm sure that I'll have more to say.  I may even do one on Archie characters, so please check it out!  :)

I've been a blogger for almost 10 years now, and I have many blogs scattered. Usually talking about my life, my travelling, my drawings, my favorite things like TV shows, fanfiction, movie reviews, and so on.

Right now my blog is http://hanitje.multiply.com -- it's not in English, so I don't recommend this for ya. But if you bother enough, you can have it translate. I have one in English, it's in my Livejournal, but it's a bit personal.

There's something called 30 days meme blogging challenge, where you write stuff for 30 days. It can be meme tv, meme movie, meme song, meme comic, etc. Try it, and you will find stuff about yourself that actually surprising: http://30daymemes.tumblr.com/ it challenges you to write about anything basically, if you have anything to say. This is really good start for you.

I have many followers, mostly they've been following for years and reading about my movie reviews -- I tend to be brutally honest about my reviews.

One thing I suggest to you, try to make your blog fun and interesting, not just the writing. Try to put good pics, color, and theme/wallpaper so people would be interested. Ppl usually look at the pics first, and then the writing (like my theme is about Doctor Who this time, I usually change it every month) Have fun :)

A few years ago I tried to start a blog on femslash and other assorted nerd stuff, but I only made like three blog posts before I closed it.  I think I just don't have the dedication for it. 

Maybe I'll try again eventually.  Don't know how much free time I want to spend writing though, since I write boring junk for a living right now.  Also still want to spend more time for my fanfiction, but maybe I'll try to do a blog again sometime.  lol
