  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

Do you use the "store"?
« on: August 05, 2008, 01:20:29 PM »
I've been using the store here on the forums and bought a fancy "orange" name.  Generally, I wait until I amass enough to buy "Random Money" and then lose it all!  haha!

Does anyone else use the store here?
No matter where I go, there I am.  Creepy.

That's because Gregg is "rich"!  Check out how much I have! :)  I keep buying "random money" and losing it all!  What will I ever tell my poor wife?

Random money makes me laugh :)   Whenever I get $75 I buy it.  Mostly I lose, but that's sort of how it's set-up.  It costs $75 - so you are at -75 to start.  Then you can lose or win 150.  So even if you win the max, you are only up 75.  If you lose the max, then you are down up to 150.

The trick is to play when you only have $75.  Can't lose more than what you have :)

At one point I was really bored -- and trying to avoid yardwork, natch -- so i went through the store and bought one of everything and used it. I changed my user name, my sign in name, changed the user name color 2 or 3 times, added an hour to my stats, bequeathed a number of titles (CH, Tuxedo and Aya come to mind), gave Brunette $1000.... good times. Too bad this isn't real money, I could sure use some of it now...

Oh, so THAT is what that Money thing is all about? I was wondering...Heck i have more Archie Dollars than I have REAL dollars in the bank. Maybe the forum should open an Archie Casino, and forum members could squander their hard earned Archie Dollars on a Cheryl Blossom Slot Machine, or play Betty Blackjack, Veronica Roulette,Jughead Poker, or Reggie Craps. I'll be at the Moose Nickle Slots, trying to comp a free drink.
