  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

  • Biollante: gonna be hard for anyting to catch up, Ridley Scott is pretty much the top of dark visual design imo, and he drew a lot from Moebius for that film, most fillm makers are not really connected to aestheticas of good fantasy film making in the same way

I like other anime shows not mentioned in my earlier posts:
'Full Metal Alchemist', 'Naruto', 'Sailor Moon' and 'Yoyo Hakusho'.
You can find them online, but won't tell you where exactly.

:smitten: Wouldn't you believe Mikami from 'Ghost Sweeper'...she looks fine, or make that red hot by the likes of Cheryl (the redhead on the Archies). But she reminds me more of Sam from 'Totally Spies', inspired by anime though not animated by a Japanese company.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNsjRP180Ww&feature=feedrec_grec_index - Ghost Sweeper intro (circa 1990).

'Teen Titans' was another take its' accompliments to anime styles, and the alien princess Starfire is another redhead whom looks good.

I like too many animes to begin with but I believe I could narrow it down to fiver.

5. Yakitate Japan: A pure culinary comediec shonen. Basically a 16-year-old's quest to create his country's bread and the constant run of opponents who come up against him. Still watching.
4. Ouran High School Host Club: When I was younger, I heard this being thrown around sometimes and didn't get into the gender-bender series of anime until about a year or two ago. A romantic comdey, this shoujo focuses on a girl's who is forced to work as a host in a host club *hint hint* because of an $80, 000 debt she has to pay to the club and she deals with the crazy guys that are a part of it.
3. Arakawa Under the Bridge: I believe I found this one by accident. Being a romantic comedy seinen, it sort of runs along with School Rumble, but is a lot crazier in reality and focuses more about how an ordinary man is weirder than the weird community he finds himself living with.
2. Kimi ni Todoke: I found out about this one some time ago. Still watching. It's a shoujo that seems pretty innocent, but is full of emotion and heart. About how girl gradually proves that she's not the ghostly, demonic person that rumors tell her to be.
1. School Rumble: This was the manga/anime that started it all...well, not in a literal sense. This romantic comedy shonen showed (in a hilarious way) the effects of true love, unrequited love and broken hearts, all while poking fun at how exaggerated the characters were in their pursuit of the ones they loved.

Movie: Ghost in A Shell: An old family friend had this in his DVD collection and I watched it. Very psychological but had an excellent plot and enough action to back it up.
