  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

Galaxy Tab 7.7 + Leather Case + 16 GB Class 6 micro sd card   :smitten:

What?  Not an iPad?   :P   ;)   :D

iPad may be my next stop. but I am a great fan of Android. Totally busted all the negative PR Linux got for user friendliness.

I recently picked up Get Smart on Blu-ray at Ollie's Bargain Outlet for $7 + tax.

The packaging was a bit damaged, but all three discs (movie, digital copy and DVD game) are in perfect shape.

I watched the movie last night, but it was hard getting used to seeing someone besides Don Adams playing Maxwell Smart.

I stopped by the post office on my way home from work. Life with Archie #15 was waiting for me.

Yeah, it's apparently the copy that I'd ordered a while ago, which makes me wonder why I received that earlier copy. The plastic bag wasn't numbered with subscription issues, so it doesn't seem to have been a part of my subscription (besides, I'd gotten #16 in a subscription bag before that).

So, yeah, if anyone wants it (it's a bit bent and has some tears on the cover from being in that brown envelope with the Freshman Year address label and bent to fit in my P.O. Box), I'll trade it for two Cheryl-related (meaning she appears) pamphlets or one Cheryl-related digest.

Betty Cooper + Cheryl Blossom. It's inevitable.

Betty and Veronica Double Digest #166 - $4.

Found on Amazon. Finally, I have the comic whose cover is my desktop wallpaper, and have completed a storyline.

I stopped by the post office on my way to work this morning. Life with Archie #17 (along with a notice to renew my P.O. Box) was waiting for me.

If anyone still wants my duplicate copy of #15, my offer still stands.

By the way, wasn't my "Betty" subscription supposed to switch over to "Betty and Veronica"? I recall reading that here. I have yet to receive an issue. I hope the rest of the subscription wasn't canceled and the difference refunded, because I'd already thrown out the prepaid card that I'd used to buy it.

Found AGB&V #326, another 80s Cheryl appearance. Was so happy to have it, then I read it and that it's missing a page. At least it's a non-story page, and at least I didn't pay a premium for it.

Also got some Mylites for my Cheryl comics. The poly bags will be used for new releases. This pushed my bill over $20, which meant a free copy of Ultimate Spider-Man: The Fallout or something like that, I don't follow Marvel much.

I could have sworn I posted about my second keyboard here - a Roland Alpha Juno 2 with a few dead keys for $150. The replacement contact strip to get the keys working was $8. Blows the D-5 out of the water. I'm going to sell the D-5. Also, a bigger amp - a Peavey TKO (15" speaker) for $75.

I received Jughead and Friends #34,36-38, and Tales from Riverdale #38 from an eBay seller who has been a big help in my attempt to buy each "curved triangle" digest before the end of this year.  My remaining count stands at 85.

I need to get down to Comic Book World in Florence again to see what sort of Archies they have in their "bargain bin". They're my second-favorite comic shop behind the one I usually go to (Queen City Comic and Card), as they have a huge selection of older Archie comics as well (one of those places where I could easily go broke if I bought everything I wanted).

we used to have a great little hotel comic show twice a year. i would hit up all of the 25 and 50 cent bins and find some great stuff. unfortunately, like a lot of things, it stopped when the economy took a dive.

I'M BACK!!!  :) :D ;D

First of all, apologies for having disappeared from this forum for months, what with being busy with high school, dealing with computer viruses and the like.
Second of all, for the first time since November*,  me and my dad went back to shopping at my favorite flea market Laurel Junction (formerly Bargain Bill's).
As a result, I left with a fantastic deal that came from a vendor who was selling comic books at 50 cents each.  ;D
Some were in perfect condition, some have seen better days, but I still managed to walk out with 10 comics for 5 dollars, which was really a thrill.
And here are the selections...  :)
Archie's Girls Betty and Veronica #146 (February 1968)
Plastic Man #9 (March-April 1968) (One of my favorite DC superheros!)
Life with Archie #72 (April 1968)
Swing with Scooter #17 (February-March 1968) (This one was a surprising find!)
Archie's "Laugh-In" Joke Book #137 (June 1969)
Laugh #228 (March 1970)
Pep #247 (November 1970)
Archie's Girls Betty and Veronica #179 (November 1970)
The Madhouse Glads #76 (November 1970) (I still can't believe I found this rare gem!)
and last but not least... Little Archie #150 (January 1980)
Well, that's all I have for this week, and here's hoping that the same vendor will be back next week! It's great to be back on this forum!  :D
*: Me and my dad usually start going to the flea market whenever spring weather gets warmer, like in March or April. We often start going on a weekly basis in the summertime and usually stop after the beginning of the winter season, like in November or December.
