I purchased the following 1st Series Sabrina The Teenage Witch comics.  #'s 31, 37, 39, & 54.

eBay?
Yes, all I really collect is Sabrina titles including the new Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The digests I get and read and pass them onto my 9 year old daughter who reads them and then she sometimes cuts the covers she likes off them or gives some to her friends. The more kids that get to read the digests that makes me happy so I keep purchasing them every once in awhile.

That is a great point. Sometimes it seems to me that pass-along readership of comics must be nearly a thing of the past, because comic book readers have become so synonymous with comic book collectors/hoarders (guilty as charged!), so its good to know someone's still paying it forward to the next generation.

I can't wait to get that tv. My brother has the same one. It was on sale at Best Buy for $149.99 for Memorial Day. He loves his tv.

I went to Target this morning looking for two things: some shaving gel and a black zippered hoodie. Couldn't find the hoodie, but I did wind up buying the following:

  • 2 pair of pants
  • 1 pair cargo shorts
  • 3 white t-shirts
  • Hot Wheels 5-pack (Target exclusive): Batman villains vehicles
  • Hot Wheels Aquaman and Hawkman cars (individually carded)
  • MIRACULOUS: TALES OF LADYBUG & CAT NOIR (DVD) - Apparently a CGI-animated series (don't know where this appeared on TV) about kid superheroes living in Paris. I was interested in the look of this when I saw a solicitation for an upcoming Action Lab comic series (or graphic novel, not sure) based on it. Reminds me a little bit of THE INCREDIBLES as far as the look of the characters, but that's not quite it either. This is Vol. 1 of the series and contains 7 episodes (154 min.) It was $10, so I took a chance. Haven't watched it yet.
  • ARCHER: SEASON SIX (DVD 2-disc set) - This show is hilarious. I don't watch it anymore on FX, I just wait for the DVD set, because I love immersing myself in episode after episode. It was $20, and I probably could have found it cheaper online, but I didn't feel like waiting.
  • 5 cans of shaving gel
Total spent - $137

I bought a pretty journal, My Girl DVD, a Pizza. And for my dad, a Micro Touch Max (personal trimmer).

⛵ I preorder 3 more Blank B & V #1's.

I preorder 2 more blank Betty & Veronica #1 covers from www.archiecomics.com using one of my $25 Betty gift cards.

Got a big order of Archie Comics back issues in the mail from MyComicShop.com:

B & V FRIENDS DOUBLE DIGEST #236
BETTY AND VERONICA DIGEST #187, 189, 207
JUGHEAD (1987) #89, 90, 91, 93, 94, 160 (all key Trula Twyst issues)
JUGHEAD & ARCHIE JUMBO COMICS DIGEST #5
JUGHEAD & FRIENDS DIGEST #31, 34
TALES FROM RIVERDALE DIGEST #4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 38, 39
VERONICA'S PASSPORT DIGEST #2

Total cost ( for 40 comics) was $129.30. Shipping was $4.95. They do an excellent job of packing these shipments with bags and boards and a printed label identifying each comic and the price (on the bag, of course), then they bundled those 40 comics into 3 larger bags. The box they shipped in had these neat foam corner inserts to protect the comics from bump and dings if the package was mishandled. Kudos to the guys at Lone Star for going the extra mile.

Already sat down and read the JUGHEAD issues featuring the first 5 appearances of Trula, plus a key story from #160 (Jughead kissed her twice!). I'll be reviewing those a little later when I get the time to sit down and write something substantial. All in all, I should have enough here to get me through a few weeks or a month. I'd like to be giving my money to ACP, but... hey, they refuse to do the logical, sensible thing and reprint stories like the original appearances of Trula Twyst (to give but one example) in a trade paperback. So the back issue dealers get my money instead. Smart thinkin', ACP! Just make sure you keep putting out 25 cover variants on every new comic you print, that'll make up for it.  >:(

The Trula Twyst issues are fairly difficult to get a hold of as well. I always see them sold out on mycomicshop.com and not listed frequently on eBay.

Anything special in those Betty and Veronica digests? I've been reading some older Betty and Veronica digests and they used to publish some Josie stories.

Don't really know. I'll let you know after I read them. I have a game plan for collecting digests... apart from only a few very-short-run titles, I'm only collecting digests from the period of 2005 through 2014 (I didn't start getting the current digest titles until January 2015). 2005 is when LAUGH COMICS DIGEST and JUGHEAD WITH ARCHIE DIGEST were cancelled and replaced by TALES FROM RIVERDALE DIGEST and JUGHEAD & FRIENDS DIGEST, respectively. Both of those titles distinguished themselves from the ones they replaced by featuring (then-)new stories in every issue. Looking at other digests from the around the same time, I noticed that other titles also began featuring new stories. BETTY AND VERONICA DIGEST had new stories from at least issue #185 (that's the first one I'm sure of, at any rate), which was "Betty and Veronica Meet Betty and Veronica", the second in a series of four Memory Lane stories, so that's the point I picked to go back to as a starting point (good luck finding a non-digital copy of 185, though I've read the story in question). It's a short run to the end after that, since BETTY AND VERONICA DIGEST ends (after getting a brand-new logo in issue #188) with #208, and is thereafter replaced by B&V FRIENDS DOUBLE DIGEST #209 (which I'm also collecting beginning with that issue). I think I mentioned this before, but B&V FRIENDS has Josie stories in every issue. Still missing a couple dozen of those.
