  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

  • Biollante: gonna be hard for anyting to catch up, Ridley Scott is pretty much the top of dark visual design imo, and he drew a lot from Moebius for that film, most fillm makers are not really connected to aestheticas of good fantasy film making in the same way

I thought Misiu was lost! I came home at around 6:45 PM and couldn't find him (I'd closed the front gate before leaving the house). I searched all around the property with a flashlight and called out his name. Finally, while shining the flashlight on the adjacent, undeveloped property to the west of us (basically a mini forest), I saw him. I ran over there and had to look for him again, but I finally found him. I brought him straight into the house, closed him in his room, and then locked the back door before letting him out (at which point, it was around 7:38 PM). I'm so glad that he's safe! :)

Misiu taking a nap on November 22:

For the past few days (I forget when it started), Misiu's been jumping on the table with the bird cages again after a long while of not doing it. On the first day, he knocked over Squeaky and Sunshine's cage (I was in the bathroom when it happened, and mom responded). They're okay. He doesn't seem to do it every day, and he does it more on some days than others. Weird.

Misiu has been bad today. This morning, he went into the neighbor's yard. After numerous failed attempts to pick him up over the fence, I had to run around and get him.

This evening, shortly before 6:45 PM, mom remembered she forgot to lock up the chickens when she heard them outside. We went to the backyard. Two of them (young brown ones) were in the forest next to our house. Misiu was chasing them. I went over to the forest, picked them up, and put them over the fence. We went to the chicken coop to count them. There were 5. The white one was missing. Mom found her in a tree next to the fence that separates our lot from the forest. She used folding steps to get her. While this was going on, Misiu had gone into the forest through a hole in the fence. After failed attempts to lure him back, mom insisted he'd come back on his own and told me to go back into the house. It was around 7:05 PM. Well, shortly before 8:00 PM, mom asked me if he'd returned. I said no. I said I'll go into the forest and get him. After a while of not finding anything (even though I'd heard something move while I was walking by the fence, which mom said could be anything), mom said he wasn't there. I happened to shine my flashlight on him and gave chase. He led me through the forest to the intersection with a side street. I finally caught him and carried him back to the house. Mom had me put him in his room to punish him. My legs have cuts on them and are itching, but I'm so glad that Misiu is safe. :)
