  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

Totally Spies Getting a Season 6
« on: September 24, 2011, 03:05:00 AM »
Don't know if anyone likes this show here, but if not, you should.  I think it isn't much of a stretch to say TS is very Archie influenced both art wise and character wise.  Due to my connections is the fandom, I was able to get a hold of this link in French (Totally Spies is an imported French cartoon).  It's an article from a French TV news page:

http://www.toutelatele.com/article.php3?id_article=34615

From the article you can find this quote:

Quote
Quant à la série phare de la chaîne, Totally Spies, elle reviendra en 2013 avec de nouveaux épisodes survitaminés.

A Babel Fish translation gave me the following:

Quote
As for the series headlight of the chain, Totally Spies, it will return in 2013 with new survitaminés episodes.

Babel fish refused to translate one word.  However, this seems like a pretty definitive statement.  So it looks like there will be a new season in 2013.

Pretty awesome!  The show is my number one obsession.  Hoping for lots of Mandy this season.  She's my one true love.  Alexandra and Ronnie come after her.  Love my evil bratty dark haired girls.   :smitten:

survitamines means supercharged

You still use Babel ? it was good once but Google is way better. For example, what comes out as headlight in Babel is Flagship in Google which makes much more sense and is the correct word in fact :)

Ok thanks for the tip.  Used it to fix the news article I wrote on this.  I would've asked my French friend to translate it for me, but she's probably counting sheep right now.

I love Totally Spies.

Too bad it isn't broadcast in the US anymore.

We can't get a full DVD collection, either.

Any Eurofans willing to sell me a Region 0 copy?

It's Cartoon Network's fault.  It's obvious they got the home video licensing with the broadcast licensing and just chose to sat on it.  This is one reason why Cartoon Network sucks.  They have a humongous bias against any property they did not produce in house or own since inception.

I suspect this may be part of the reason why TS is coming back now.  The license that CN probably got back in 2004 has expired.  No one has said this out right, but I really suspect it.  This is probably why they waited until summer 2010 to show Season 5, because it was expiring soon and they wanted to pump some more money out of it when they had none of their own new cartoons to promote.

Any other cartoon station I think would be drooling over the possibility of adding this to their lineup.  It was a pretty huge ratings draw for both girls and boys demographics.
