  • invisifan: Betty was caught up in the moment — Archie was taken by surprise … teen hormones & stubborn streaks prevailed until it got beyond an easy salvage job …

  • spazaru: No, I agree with you.  I love upright bass!  My musical taste runs toward the 50s and I grew up with The Stray Cats being my favorite band in the 80s, with Lee Rocker playing the upright bass.  Not sure any rockabilly trio would touch Sugar Sugar.

  • Commbo60: Oh, good grief, Spazaru...the upright Bass is my favourite instrument. So are the Drums. Please let me know of a particular rockabilly trio who can play the Archies' hits like "Sugar Sugar". I'd love that!

  • spazaru: When the Archies came on the scene in the 60s, no one playing rock 'n' roll was using an upright bass.  They would have had to form in the 50s or during the early 80s rockabilly revival to play one of those.

  • Commbo60: It's me again! What I like the most about Archie Comics is the scenes featuring The Archies! I have one big grudge...Reggie or Archie should use the Upright Double Bass instead of the dreadful Bass Guitar. Also, does Veronica play the Piano, in addition to the Organ?

Arrested Development revived by US channel Netflix

Holy COW!  :o

The series, about a dysfunctional Californian family, was cancelled by the Fox network five years ago despite winning several Emmy awards.

Last month, creator Mitchell Hurwitz said a film was to be made with several spin-off episodes to follow.

The cast, featuring Jason Bateman and Michael Cera, is expected to reunite.

The show was originally broadcast on Fox between 2003-06 but was dropped because of low ratings.

The antics of the morally challenged Bluth family picked up six Emmy awards and one Golden Globe over its three seasons.

Executive producer, film director Ron Howard, also narrated the series.

Speaking to the BBC in January, he said there was "a real desire on the creative team's part" to work on some new material.

Shooting on the new series is set to begin next summer and will be available to Netflix subscribers in 2013.

I'll be honest, I never really saw the show, but someone me the first season for Christmas and of course heard of it. Should I start watching it? And not to just catch up, but start WATCHING it?
I think that artist Norm Breyfogle has shown remarkable restraint by not having Mr. Lodge twirl his mustache in every panel as the character's evil traits become more and more defined.-Chris Cummins

If I took a shot at writing an Archie movie, would anyone mind?
Only 12 credits to go before I can purchase a sticky post.

I wouldn't really put too much stock in something that is going to be only airing on Netlfix.  That company is on the decline now due to the actions of it's moronic CEO.  I suppose it's good for the show's fans though.
