found this one linked to on Rik's Mighty Crusaders board... I just loved the villain in it!!

and so, being duly inspired, I just had to color it of course...

For those waiting some character ids, the heavy is the Juggernaut, a major X-Men villain.  The Crusaders are the Comet (flying top left), Jaguar (on Juggernaut's back), Steel Sterling (in Juggie's left hand), the Web (under Juggie's right arm), Fly-Girl, the Fly, the Shield, and the Black Hood (his back is towards the viewer).

All in all, I think it turned out pretty good... Smiley

It turned out *really* good, Gregg!!

I can't help but think of that horrible line that was a ha-ha online that made it into the movie... "I'm the Juggernaut, ____." 2funny Too awful! ... despite that, I still liked that movie. I know, I'm hopeless! ^_^

Thanks all... I think Shield and Juggernaut turned out the best. Fly girl and Web turned out very muddied and no matter what I did, they never looked as good as I hoped. Hey artists let me ask you a question-- when you're working on a piece that is essentially a sketch, how do you clean up some the unneeded skecth lines in your computer programs? I can darken the entire pic (using several layers on multiply) but that also darkens alot of the stray lines. Just looking for suggestions...

I just adjust the color balance with an automatic adjustment (like with the one strip Forsythe had posted that I colored and showed you) and since it gives me an option to then manually move the black, gray, and white, I just keep moving the gray adjuster back and forth 'til it's brighter and the lighter, sketchy lines disappear.

If that doesn't work, I will actually erase a few of the stray lines, but, I really don't like to do that if it's not necessary.

As Aya said, your best bet is probably some prudent erasing here and there. But be careful...you are fooling with someone else's art.

Yeah, generally speaking I hate erasing. I did try a black and white feature on paint.net but it didn't do the trick. I remember that strip you sent me Aya and have been trying to duplicate that effect you did of lightening it without success. Ah well, I'll just have to keep messing with it...

Gregg - if you'd ever like me to try and fix things up a bit - like with that strip - I don't mind you sending me things to lighten/darken if you'd like. ... Of course, that means that, if Forsythe gave you the okay, I could fix up a few strips he'd posted for you to color as well! ^_^
