  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

An Early Preview of Betty & Veronica Double Digest #151
« on: December 27, 2006, 09:48:24 PM »
Hi Everyone,

As a special treat for you this week I have an early preview of Betty & Veronica Double Digest #151. While everyone has seen the try out pages Steven Butler did for Betty & Veronica, here is the real deal. Actual pages from the comic book shipping this May. Literally taken from Victor Gorelick's desk before they have even been inked!

I hope you enjoy them,

You know, I was initially apprehensive about this new style, but I have to admit, it really does look good!

Now, I'm looking forward to issue 151! :)

I like the new look of B&V! They look like real people, almost like watching live action. But gee, I wanted to read the rest of the story, haha! Guess I'll have to wait til my issue arrives in the mail.

Sorry about the image limits. I completely forgot that I had those set until now. They have now been removed. Any images you post in the future will be displayed full size, and you can fix existing images by editing the post and removing the height and width attributes from the img tag.

Rik,

It'll be an interesting experiment. I certainly like it better than anorexic-manga Sabrina.  :( Initially I had trouble with them looking SOOO young -- the "normal" Betty and Veronica look like women but act like girls, which says alot of their appeal, --but these made me feel creepy even looking at it. However, having just attended a science fair at my 14 year old daughter's high school, I can say that at least the girls look authentic. However, since they look so different, i probably dress Betyy a little more down and Veronica a little more glitzy. Your mileage, of course, may vary.  :)

It's not bad, but I'm just not that crazy about it, especially for Archie comics.

That's exactly why I'm giving it a chance.  I don't mind it being used to supplement a book...I just don't want it to be the ENTIRE book.

jughead looks a bit odd. But his eyes are still closed all the time.  hehe, and he still has his hat/beanie.  but looks alot older.
