  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

I hope not. I hope Archie Comics comes out with at least 1 post-graduation title soon.

And Veronica doesn't have a clue as to her career? Um, hello. Heir to the Lodge empire.

Who is to say Veronica won't want to strike it rich on her own? The Lodge Empire might just be sold to other interests and Veronica could start her own empire!

Now there's an interesting premise: Veronica and the gang go into business for themselves and become as powerul as Lodge Enterprises. We follow the gang after high school, college into adulthood all the while wtaching as their lives and business develop against their most bitter rival -- Hiram Lodge of Lodge Industries!!

Or maybe not... :2funny: :2funny:

And, besides...Lodge Enterprises could go belly-up before Veronica graduates college.  She may not have a choice but to make it on her own! :)

She's probably got enough money in her personal savings accounts to withstand that. She could live comfortably for the rest of her life - and even start up a new Lodge Enterprises, if she wishes.

That's where I'm unclear about Cheryl, though. I know her family lost money, but what about her personally? Is she still a millionaire?

To add to what I'd already said, why would Veronica go through the trouble? When she takes control of Lodge Enterprises, she can reformat it to whatever kind of company that she wants.

Maybe Veronica is ticked that Betty reads Cheryl's teenzine, so she starts her own to lure her friend over to her side and cost Cheryl 1 reader. :D

I'm not saying this is indicative of Veronica's character, but some people feel the need to prove their own worth. Some people may be perfectly fine with inheriting their parents' good fortunes, but if Veronica wants to prove herself, she would start her own business and show that she can be just as good.

For example (and this is a bad one but the only one that came to mind): The son of the Penthouse creator could have just continued in his father's magazine but instead went out to publish his own magazine (Details, I think).

A different example would be sons of ballplayers who want to prove they're just as good as their fathers were, if not better.
