  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

Yeah , Well acroding to Archie comics press realse you and me are not real Archie comic fans.

Eh.  I think Betty and Veronica should run off together, but it doesn't stop me from reading it.

I'm sure there are a lot of fans who expected Archie to eventually choose Betty as well, if only to keep the "Who Will Archie Choose?" story alive. Even when he's "settled" on Veronica and proposes, there's always that Archiverse twist that you just *know* is bound to happen sooner or later. Still, it's part of what makes Archie ... well, Archie!

I did not say I would stop reading the Archie comics I simply said that I thought it very mean of them to assume that evreyboady  who reads Archice comics is fan of Betty/Archie and was unhappy with thought of Veroinca/Archie marriage.

I just wonder if by the time 605 rolls around if Archie will have a definitive answer as to who he belongs with.  Of course, after almost 70 years of indecisiveness, I'm not necessarily holding my breath.  :D

Neither am I, and that's my point -- this isn't a storyline that alienates anyone who supports a different pairing.  Actually, in some respects, it reminds me of how Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince affected the Lupin/Tonks 'shippers; their pairing was made canon, but not in a way they found satisfying.  By ensuring that Archie has it both ways, without really considering anything beyond those two choices (honestly, even the Reggie/Betty and Jughead/Betty 'shippers aren't getting any attention this arc!), it doesn't make anything 'final'; it just makes both choices seem shallow.

I've said it before, but even in passing they don't give the other characters the attention they deserve.  Honestly, Moose can do better than a hot dog stand.  Personal trainer at a gym, or even a construction worker -- something to reflect his strength and (post-dyslexia diagnosis) determined efforts to focus on the task at hand.

I'm surprised Moose hasn't married Midge yet. There was a slight hint in #600, but since they've always been the most steady couple in the series, you'd think they would have reached the next step by now.

I dunno...given how much Midge has flirted with Reggie in the past, maybe there's a fear of commitment on her part.  Of course, this is purely speculation, as Moose and Midge have always been secondary characters.  :)

Jave - I love your avatar! ... I'm also surprised there hasn't been a marriage between Moose & Midge yet, or even Chuck & Nancy (though, it's a bit more understandable since their relationship doesn't seem as old as M&M's). Maybe that's something that'll pop up in the future though, too. Has that idea even been flirted with? I remember there even being a few stories where Ms. Grundy, decked out in a wedding dress even, laughingly jokes about snaring Mr. Weatherbee. ... Which then makes me wonder, are *any* of the teachers (aside from Coach Clayton) married, or is it a school made up entirely of single faculty members?
