ARCHIE BRINGS THE HEAT TO 2010’S SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL COMIC-CON

New York, NY (July 12, 2010): Archie Comics—home to the world’s hottest pop culture comic teens—will bare all at the San Diego International Comic Convention! The convention, which takes place from Thurs. July 22nd to Sun. July, 25th, with a special “Preview Night” on Wed. July 21st, is the hottest event in the comic book calendar and Archie is about to heat things up even more!

Every single day of the convention will be jam-packed with artist appearances, signings, and 3 panels guaranteed to be the hottest news from Archie yet with a hit list of scorching-hot announcements never before available to public eyes and ears!

Archie’s Friday, Saturday and Sunday panels are the “it” place to be to get hip to what’s next from the teen comic mogul Archie Comics. Friday’s panel, “Archie Comics: Cooler Than Ever! Panel” from 12-1pm on July 23rd is the only way to be the first to find out about the volcano of Archie projects arriving in the next year and see super-exclusive sneak peeks at projects still in development.

On Saturday July 24th at 2:30 Archie Comics presents “Stan Lee Comics Debuts” where Stan “The Man” Lee himself will tell all about his new line of comics from Archie, “Stan Lee Comics,” including “The Super Seven” announced earlier this year. And on Sunday’s Kids Day, 10 top Archie creatives will come together to talk about “Growing Up with Archie” and share insider perspectives. It will be a great chance to meet creators face-to-face, and all fans in attendance will receive a free Archie comic giveaway.

Among the oceans of fiery Archie stardom attending the San Diego convention are:
   Writer of the premiere issue of the brand new Life with Archie magazine, Michael Uslan (of Archie Weddings fame)
   Life with Archie artist Andrew Pepoy
   Archie poster boy Dan Parent, of Riverdale Shore, Kevin Keller, the Archie/Valerie romance and more…
   Writer of both Archie: Freshman Year series, Batton Lash
   Artist of both Archie: Freshman Year series, the Archie/Valerie romance, and  the upcoming Twilite series, Bill Galvan
   Man from R.I.V.E.R.D.A.L.E. artist Rich Koslowski
   Archie writer for Stamp of Approval, the commemorative comic for the official Archie US Postage stamp, George Gladir
   Plus, Tania del Rio of Sabrina, back with big surprises

...and more!

I was disappointed that one of the good Archie panel discussions is on Sunday afternoon.  I'm flying back Sunday morning and there's no way I could attend that discussion without staying over Sunday night until Monday.

Very disappointing. :'(

I'd be happy with just being able to attend the convention...

Will any people from Archie Comics be at the NY Comic Con on October 10? Because I live in Ny and am going to the Comic Con there on Oct. 10.

Offline Oldiesmann

Yes, they will be there.

According to the NY Comic Con website, Archie Comics will be at booth 2309, and Fernando Ruiz, Andrew Pepoy and Dan Parent are all scheduled to be in attendance at some point. Watch this site and/or archiecomics.com for more details as the event gets closer.

Archie Comics will be at the Toronto Convention on August 27, 28, and 29. I'll be there at the Archie booth. Come on by!

When are you guys going to be at the Mid-Ohio Con in November? That one's only two hours from me :P

Toronto isn't too bad, but it's still a bit too far to drive for a comic book convention (5-6 hours I think)

I'm still deciding whether I'll be going to the Toronto con or not, will Archie be bringing much merchandise with them to sell?  And who else will be at the booth, do you know?  If I go, I'll definately say hello Fernando, and probably buy a sketch!  :)
