  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)
    May 21, 2012, 07:23:13 AM
  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

A silent pantomime!  I LOVE those stories!  Sometimes, actions speak louder than words. :)

Good eye but how did you know the artist-who-will-draw-for-food was me? There are a couple more Easter Eggs in this but you might have to break out the microscope and look past the coloring.

If you like Easter Egg hunts, you're going to love A&F #121 thru 123!

It sure was a blast for me to draw! I hope you guys like it!

The Web actually has TWO appreances as does the Comet. Steel Sterling and Black Hood each have one but I can't fault you for not catching them.

By the way, the inclusion of those past real comic book covers on the cover wasn't my idea. That must have been done in production. I probably scribbled in my usual Cosmo or Superduck cameo. I didn't know they'd done this until I saw the cover here. Nifty idea!
