  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)
    May 21, 2012, 07:23:13 AM
  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

BETTY & VERONICA SPECTACULAR #79
“High School Switcheroo!”: To offer a taste of variety, foster new interests and develop hidden talents, Riverdale High switches each student’s elective courses.

Surely, this is illegal.

Also, why is the story promoted as "Back-To-School Switcheroo" and "Back To School Switcheroo"?

BETTY & VERONICA DOUBLE DIGEST #154
THE EXPLOSIVE CONCLUSION OF A SPECIAL FOUR-ISSUE SAGA FEATURING RIVERDALE’S FAVORITE TEENS IN A WHOLE NEW LOOK!

Betty still looks absolutely gorgeous. Please give us more stories in this art style, but reserve it for dramatic stories. Maybe adapt "Betty Cooper, Baseball Star" next?

TALES FROM RIVERDALE DIGEST #23
GUEST-STARRING NEARLY EVERY TEEN IN THE ARCHIE UNIVERSE!
“Civil Chores Part Two”: Last issue, the world of Riverdale was rocked when Archie decided to go on strike claiming there was no equity between his chores and his allowance.  Before too long, the other teens in town chose sides… but when the other side is headed by Veronica and Reggie, watch out!  They only want to maintain their status as Riverdale’s richest teens, but when Jughead joins their side for his own ulterior motives, it turns everything upside down!  As the story continues, the rest of Riverdale’s fabled teens will choose sides… and you’ll be surprised at not only who turns up but which side they choose!  What will be the outcome?  Whatever it is, we wouldn’t be surprised if the crowned-one has the last laugh!  Who are the guest-stars?  Reserve your copy today to find out!  SCRIPT AND ART: Fernando Ruiz.  PLUS: Other new and classic tales!  SCRIPT AND ART: Various talents.  BONUS: Puzzles, games and your pin-ups!

The continuity with Part 1 isn't very good:

Fred's list in the flashback scene is longer than it was in Part 1.

The initial "Archie going on strike" panel, as recounted in the flashback, is different from how it appeared in Part 1, such as the onlooker being a totally different person.

Archie, Betty, and Chuck's clothes in the flashback scenes are all different from what they wore in Part 1.

Archie and Betty's signs are different.

Archie giving Fred a presentation with a list of reasons for a raise, as shown in the flashback, didn't actually happen in Part 1. Fred had gone back into the house, leaving Archie outside.

Betty Cooper + Cheryl Blossom. It's inevitable.

Whaddya talkin' 'bout? The continuity between Parts 1 & 2 are absolutely airtight! Whaddya think? We're winging this stuff?

1. Fred had TWO lists in Part 1 but in the interests of time, we only showed the short list!

2. More than ONE onlooker passed by in that panel!

3. Archie, Chuck, and Betty got very sweaty marching around like that all afternoon. They wisely all had a change of clothes with them.

4. Archie and Betty made more than one set of signs.

5. Archie did present Fred with a list of reasons for his raise in Part 1. This happened in between Panels 2 & 3 on Page 2 of Part 1.

See? Like I said, totally airtight!
