Retro fashion is making a comeback so maybe some of the lingo is too. I say "fab" and that was a popular saying in the 1960s. The first comic looks cool. Can't wait to see that one.

And "Far out!" is so outdated.

I think Mike Pellowski needs to spend time listening to current rock music and watching current teen movies before he attempts to write something "cool". Or is that "hep" to him?

See, I thought he was parodying a garage band plagarizing the Rolling Stones in hopes of trying to be original, so it worked for me...

Yes...but I think that's part of the genius of the story.  It may seem lame to you now, but when I think back to when I was a teenager, worshipping my idols, I wouldn't have cared if they had done a song where the lyrics were page 192 of the phone directory!  Obviously, Betty and Veronica don't seem to care either!

That scene is a takeoff on The Rolling Stones and their song "Get Off My Cloud" (see http://www.keno.org/stones_lyrics/get_off_of_my_cloud.htm)
