  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

  • Biollante: Joe Quesada was drawing Thor on some Disney promo, and he drew him flying with his hammer on his side, now I'm not a Thor junkie, but isn't that actualy inaccurate, doesn't he fly by being dragged by his hammer???

My favourite part is right near the end, with the chocolates, and Veronica's reaction to it. One of the funnier jokes in recent Archie history, if not the best.

I agree!

Another joke that I had liked was the bit with Betty's conscience.

Overall I'm happy with how it was handled, though I was surprised to see noob and fail used, since not everyone reading it will be familiar with those terms.

I'm gonna have to wait until Sept. 14, when it hits newsstands...but based on reactions so far, Kevin just seems like another typical Riverdale kid...hardly worth the needless controversy...

I think that was kinda the point... he didn't need to be all crazy or anything- he was just some normal gay guy. The "Shopping" thing was viewed as a stereotype, but c'mon- these stereotypes came about for a reason. It'd actually be LESS realistic if Kevin had NONE of the popular gay stereotypes- let him be a proud shopper and snappy dresser :).

That said, having him be a hanger-on buddy of either Jughead (many similar interests) or Ronnie will leave him doomed to the same pile of characters that Nancy, Ginger and others ended up on- people with little depth. Maybe playing the two off of each other or trying to make the peace? Further background with this "William" character he was texting all the time? He'll probably need a little bit more to make him stand out, aside from not being interested in the ladies.
