  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

But man, that is some seriously bad "new look" artwork on the betty & veronica doube digest.

I like that artwork.

I dont.  It's just bad.  Just like the digest in the previous months solicitations, where Betty looked like a badly drawn Princes Dianna.

I'm willing to give it a shot.  I thought at first that the "My Father's Betrayal" tale had some rather...awkward cover art on the front, but when I looked at the inside pages, it was some of the most beautiful artwork to date...guess it's one way I never judge a book by the cover.  ;)

Who knows?  Maybe it'll be the best new-look story yet.  We won't know until the next issue of B&V Double Digest comes out!

Jughead 202 does have notably awesome coloring! Most of the covers are on the flat side as far as color goes, but that one really pops out -- it's evocative and appropriate for a noir story.

Please buy a billion jughead 202's  :smitten:

and request more art of the covers colorist :uglystupid2:

I can guess why, but you might want to let people here know what you are referring to, not everyone knows...

Oh- I colored the Jughead 202 cover  :smitten:

Wow, that Jughead is absolutely amazing, AMAZING!!!! It has got to be my favorite cover from the series. Congrats and great job!!! I only buy the digests but you can be certain that I am going to pick this up!

The man from R.I.V.E.R.D.A.L.E. looks very action packed and the soldiers gaining on Archie look like a nod to teenage mutant ninja turtles in regards to the color and the emblem that resembles the foot soldiers clans... it's pretty sweet! Another must have.

I try to avoid Jersey Shore at all costs, this is my personal mission! Now it's beginning to seep into the archieverse... I know when I've lost.

I love that Betty cover!

It seems that sonic universe is bringing back the "Battle KUKU Army" sweet! This month is filled with great covers  and great titles, I can't wait for July.

Ugh, a parody of Jersey Shore.

- seconded -

Still, there are so many wonderfully done covers in this group, so dynamic and interesting - I'll be sure to check out Jug 202.
