I am wondering how the comics will look on glossy paper now, hopefully it's worth the increased cost.  I was happy with the old paper, but will reserve judgment.  :)

I do like that they are doing extended stories instead of a bunch of six page ones.

Glossy paper requires the coloring to be slightly different to make use of the different type of paper, so I'm just curious how it will look.  I'm sure it will be fine.  I also don't mind if it's just an excuse/reason to bump the price up 30¢ to $2.99, as that is the standard price of a comic nowadays.  Although some have crept up to $3.99 for 32 pages at other companies.   :(

Same, the couple of page stories are okay but there not as interesting or have that much character development as the extended stories.  Plus interracial story!  :smitten: ...that ends...  :-\

Really? I never noticed the different coloring... but archie just looks way different then the other comics on the market so I just assumed thats how it was.  And yeah, I don't mind the rise in price if it looks nicer.

Colors turn out differently depending on the type of paper it's printed on, so a colorist will usually adjust their work accordingly.

Keep in mind though that a lot of the 1970's movies and TV shows really celebrated 1950's pop culture.  American Graffiti, Grease, Happy Days, etc.

That could explain Reggie's look.
