Geez...nice gimmick there...get us all to buy the four B&V Double Digests with the new look, and then combine them all into one book later for those who may have missed an issue.  Very smart idea there!

(Of course, since I plan on getting all four books anyway, it's moot with me!  LOL!)

Hey! Don't miss that JUGHEAD & FRIENDS #23!

Not only does Jughead actually visit the real offices at the Archie Comics building, but he also gets to meet a lot of the behind-the-scenes staff responsible for the books about him and his pals! Plus, readers will be treated to an amazing appearance by that astounding artisan, Fernando Ruiz! Don't miss this issue! It has one of my all-time favorite covers that I've done.

I recently reread a story where Archie and the gang have no summer jobs lined up so they called up the Archie offices looking for summer work. The Archie employee thought it was a prank call so she sarcastically tells them to show up on Monday and sure enough, the teens show up for work! Of course, this being an Archie story, the characters wreck havoc in the offices and the higher ups are forced to come back from their break to find a resolution. They call in all their writers and artists to write them back to Riverdale. It was pretty funny.

That Jughead #23 cover is incredible! I've always been a fan of Ruiz's renditions of Dilbert and Reggie, all the way back to Weird Mysteries. Is there a section for the cartoon on this site? I'll check in a sec. I also like Goldberg's stuff here, too (well, maybe not his Jughead cover), but nothing tops that Jughead cover! That SonicX cover is really rad, too. The Sonic books pulled me through a rough patch when I had to ditch Spider-man during the clone saga and there were too many mutant cross-overs for me to keep up with (financially! 2 bucks a week allowance only got me so far!)
