  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

On one hand, I do like the new logos... on the other, I like the classic logos. >sigh<

the "new" Katy Keene logo you refer to is one style I did for an interior Katy story I did when I worked on the '80s Katy way back then - so it's not really "new" - but I like the fact that they think enough of my old work to use it again  as well as the stories in the B&V Double Digests recently are all done by me as penciller, story by Richard Pietrzyk, inks by Vince Colletta and Hy Eisman, colors by Barry Grossman and balloon lettering by Bill Yoshida - thanks - John S. In the most recent Betty & Veronica #190, I find it... strange that "Kumi" would be written using a font that's so distinctively... Disney.

Yes, especially since I never actually made an effort to convince any pros to join the forum. They all found it on their own ;D

If you're talking about the front cover, it looks "cute" (because cuteness is important to the Japanese, I read).

If you're talking about the first story page, how does that seem "Disney"?

Betty Cooper + Cheryl Blossom. It's inevitable.

oops - my mistake on the Katy Keene Logos - any of the new art done in the recent issues of "Archie & Friends" I had nothing to do with - I was thinking of the Katy logos in the reprinted art in B&V DDs - and the cover logo they use there for Katy - that  stuff is all from my work on her in the '80s.  I don't want to claim work I didn't do. - Thanks - John S. Lucas, Katy artist.

Her name, the font that's used, it's the same font typically used with Disney. (particularly the lower case "i"), not to mention, there's also a sort of upside down "Hidden Mickey" there too. Examples readily available on Google - I just thought it was interesting. :)
