  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

Think of people like me who live in Australia especially Western Australia. Never have I seen a mention of a comic book convention in my home state of Western Australia.

I did some searching, but the only one I could find was something called OzCon, which was mainly geared towards Australian comics, and ran from 1992 to 1998 (can't find any info as to why they stopped doing it).

On a semi-unrelated note, have you have been to King's Comics in Sydney? Looks like a great place.

Last year was the first year I went to a store during FCBD and I got a manga sampler from Tokyopop. I like manga, but I haven't looked at that thing yet. I really wanted the Scott Pilgrim comic but they didn't have it. But new Bob Bolling material is big! I'm going to try a bigger store a little out of the way so I'm hoping they'll have it.

Last year was the first year I had even heard about FCBD, but I completely forgot about it. I'm definitely going to be hitting Queen City Comic and Card pretty early that day. I believe it opens at 10am, and it's about 20 minutes from me, so I'll probably be leaving no later than 9:45.
