Archie & Friends

In the 2nd quarter of 2008, Archie & Friends will be replaced with a new anthology title featuring both new characters and some of our best loved classic characters that have not seen the spotlight in some time. As part of the new title launch, 10 proposed titles will be placed on the archiecomics.com website and you can vote for the title you like best.

I voted for "Archie Comic Publications Presents", since that's the most reasonable title.

As the poll currently stands, "Archie All-Stars" is in the lead, followed by the abysmally-titled "Archie Playground".

Betty Cooper + Cheryl Blossom. It's inevitable.

I kind of like Archie All-Stars of those choices.  It probably allows the most options for a logo (i.e. using a star shape instead of an A in Archie and Stars).  Plus, the name itself is kind of catchy.

My second pick would probably be Archie Fun House...just because it sort of has the same name as one of the cartoon series.

I voted for Archie Theater because it reminded me of the stories where the characters would play other roles and I always thought those were a lot of fun. I'm excited that Archie is bringing back old time favorites. I wonder if this means we'll see more action oriented stories from now. Kudos to Archie for diversifying!

"Archie All-Stars" makes me think of out-of-continuity Archie stories done by superstar writers and artists.

Are you sure that you want to remind comic book readers of the Filmation cartoon series?

Darn it, JimY! You beat me to this forum's 4,000th post! Oh, well. Congrats. :)

Archie's Playground?

Any group of characters above the age of 10 involved in a playground strikes me as being kind of kinky, if not simply a little too juvenile.

I voted for Archie Allstars, although Archie Comics Publications Presents would be my second choice.
Question authority.  They usually know where the bathroom is.

I voted for the "Presents..." title, but "Archie All-Stars" is in the lead by a long shot (45% of the vote so far).

Gregg

We haven't talked about it yet, but it's a change in format as well as title. So it would have to be a new #1.
