  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

I applaud the commitment to present sessions that are focused on subject areas such as early literacy and the business of comics in general.

In many, many ways, Archie comics is a leader in comic book retailing.  In fact, they are really the only company I can think of that operates extensively outside of the direct market distribution channels.

While I would love to go to San Diego, my wife does not see a comic convention as a "good" family vacation.  dang!  However, my daughter is obsessed with Archie (wonder why?) and soon I'll have her promoting the con.

Then again, my wife *did* enjoy Horton Plaza.

No matter where I go, there I am.  Creepy.

I've heard that the convention is starting to become more of a media event than a comic event and some people this year have told be to concentrate on getting to the New York or Chicago cons instead.

Apparently, there was pushing and shoving at the Wednesday night opening as fans were trying to get the free stuff from the movie companies.
No matter where I go, there I am.  Creepy.
