  • Biollante: probalby, but 59 percent is considered a "blow out" in political terms, some people are on shaky ground right now, there was evne a conservative pollset that worked for Bush warning people that if Republicans are against things like gay marriage in the near future, they would endure catastrophic losses, I don't know if it's this political cycle, but the paradigm shift already happened a while ago

  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.
    May 21, 2012, 07:57:37 AM
  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

Too bad I can't come. That "65 Years Of Growing Up With Archie" panel would be especially fun!

Any chance you guys could come to the Gem City Comic Con? Dayton is much closer than New York (at least for me).

How was the New York show?

Unfortunately, San Diego isn't an option for me. It's too bad that there aren't any big comic conventions in this area.

At some point I may have to look into what it takes to start a comic convention.

The Company is based in New York so that show is easy for the staff to attend. I live near the SDCC (a 2 hour drive) so it easy for me to attend that show. A few of the guy from the staff fly out and then our guys already at the show to the panel at SDCC. Other then that we just send comics to our guys when they are at a con to give away to the fans. They flew me out for NYCC this year and it was a lot of fun. I was there for Sat and Sun only and it was a great time. It was nice to see the main office too.

Ah. I didn't realize you were only two hours from San Diego. I was assuming you were in New York as well.

Looks like the biggest one here in Ohio is the Mid-Ohio Con in Columbus (held the weekend after Thanksgiving). Still no comic book conventions here in Cincy though.
