a lot of ppl seems surprised that he marries veronica. i mean, really? anyone really surprised by this news? for years, this is the guy who keeps pining over her, chasing her, dodging mr. lodge, break dates with betty to be with her, and don't forget; during the olden days (40s/50s) they were an item -- betty and reggie were trying to separate them. so maybe the creators of archie actually wanted Archie & Veronica to be together, but they put Betty in the middle too.

but i'm surprised they'd get married when they're seventeen years old.

anyway, I ask again...does anyone find reggie's posture odd?  what's he doing?

like, he might be staring at betty?

he's reaching for something.  he's up to something, I just know it. and I wonder what.

my gawd, he's got a gun! it's gonna be a wedding massacre!

 

y'know, the storyline would be amazing if it has action and angst!

I'm not surprised that Archie is marrying Veronica.  I'm surprised that Veronica is marrying Archie!!!!!

It might be Veronica's way of permanently hurting Betty. It's been shown that Veronica has zero interest in Archie when Betty doesn't want Archie. Veronica pursues Archie to hurt Betty. Marrying Archie and thus forever denying him to Betty is the ultimate hurt.

The only thing that Betty can do now is get over Archie. Then Veronica will be stuck in a marriage that no longer holds any thrill for her.

That would make Veronica a really twisted, sick character. 

Well, I'm personally glad he married Veronica and not Betty, and not because I'm a Jug/Betty fan at all! It's just that he doesn't deserve Betty, and he'll just keep hurting her if they get married, like you thought he will make a drastic change in his attitude when he gets married! right!

Yeah, me too.  Reggie always seemed like a much better fit for Veronica...though I do understand the fans of Reggie/Betty too.

I used to think so too, but then I realized Reggie is a male version of Veronica.  It's just not interesting enough for me to put them together.  I like couples you wouldn't expect to be together...hence my Betty/Reggie shipping.
