ARCHIE #587
THE FRESHMAN YEAR SAGA BEGINS HERE!
The Summer Before: Travel back in time with this five-issue tale that takes Archie and his friends back to their very first year in high school. Freshmen don't have proms.

Oh, yeah, Archie, you're one to complain, seeing as you call Veronica "lambchop".

I think she was referring to her future years in High School

But that seems at odds with everyone else's thoughts, which seem to be focused on freshman year.

I'm so glad to see the Freshman year pages (that we got a sneak peek at as sketches) inked and colored! Also, I agree with you, Brunette, that sometimes they show a bit too much, but, if I know I'm going to get a comic, and don't want the surprise spoiled by being able to read the first few pages, I just check out the covers, *maybe* the first page, and skim over the rest.

Oh, and, "Jenna" has very... er, interesting hair.

JUGHEADS DOUBLE DIGEST #142
THE THRILLING CONCLUSION TO THE EPIC SAGA OF JUGHEADS NEW LOVE LIFE FEATURING JUGHEADS NEW, REALISTIC LOOK!

what year this comic supposedly represent? i'm a bit confused with everyone hairstyles and clothes. Reggie is like a jock from the 70s (showing off his abs and wearing that teeny weeny bit shorts -- 70s globetrotters?) or this http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/32/Sylvester_Stallone_%281983%29.jpg

Nancy, Sandy, and the rest of the girls' hairstyles like from the 70s -- sandy's hair is a softer princess leia style... ron's earrings... knee high socks, like from the 80s? the fashion style also... i'm glad they're not wearing leg warmers. there's no way they're coming from 2008.

Seriously, I've run out of things to say. Can't wait for the conclusion of "The Matchmakers", and I have to say that Bill Galvan is now officially my favourite Archie artist.

Whatever Tuxedo Mark has said so far in this thread.

Not that I'm trying to start a war of words with you, mate, but you've got to turn down the nitpicking. No offense but, to me, your comments as of late have been starting to take away a bit of the fun from reading new issues of Archie Comics.

The first look is the first 1/3 of the story. So a 6 page story is a 2 page first look, and a 21 page story is a 7 page first look. All posts are listed as first looks so you are alerted there will be a 1/3 preview. There is always a prior post with just the covers for all comics shipping in any given month.
