  • Biollante: probalby, but 59 percent is considered a "blow out" in political terms, some people are on shaky ground right now, there was evne a conservative pollset that worked for Bush warning people that if Republicans are against things like gay marriage in the near future, they would endure catastrophic losses, I don't know if it's this political cycle, but the paradigm shift already happened a while ago

  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.
    May 21, 2012, 07:57:37 AM
  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)
    May 21, 2012, 07:23:13 AM
  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

What do you think it would be? :D
I think that artist Norm Breyfogle has shown remarkable restraint by not having Mr. Lodge twirl his mustache in every panel as the character's evil traits become more and more defined.-Chris Cummins http://www.toplessrobot.com/2011/04/the_10_craziest_moments_from_life_with_archie_the.php

If I took a shot at writing an Archie movie, would anyone mind?

Heh...you should search around for a thread called Archie's Riverdale Run...it's a project that has supposedly been in development for five years now...LOL!

And I hope never comes out.  It looks like the worst game ever made.

I was thinking they could do like a funny fighting game parody.  Of course that would have to involve Archie getting over its current violence taboo.  Would be worth it though to pound Archie into the ground with Betty or Veronica.  XD

Well, if it's from Mr Lodge's POV, it would be a first person shooter.

As far as an Archie video game idea goes, there's ideally a couple of ideas that could work.

One is kind of similar to the presumably aborted Riverdale Run game...have the gang drive around Riverdale, but complete missions along the way.  (i.e. getting Mr. Lodge's important paperwork to the office on time, meeting Betty on a date while avoiding Veronica).  The Simpsons Hit and Run game had a funny storyline surrounding it, so I'm thinking something similar would have to happen like say, trying to save Riverdale High from being knocked down, or hosting an Archies concert.

The only other game that could work would be a platformer, where Archie daydreams in class or something like that, and he finds himself in dreams inspired by those Archie Art Players stories in old Laugh comics.

In general though, for an Archie game to work in the arcade, I think Archie would have to go out of its comfort zone a bit.  There would need to be some danger, action, or someting else slightly exciting involved other wise no one is going to give that thing quaterters.

I doubt even little kids would want to play a game where "Archie must collect enough hearts so he can take Betty on a date Friday night" or "Juhead must mow enough lawns so he can buy burgers at Pop's" or whatever total PC rhubbish we would expect them to produce in video game format.  lol

Easy.

Archie scores with the girls. ::)

And if he ends up dating two girls at the same time and he gets caught, game over!  ;D

Start a petition to get Archie's Riverdale Run to get in the arcades rather than home video game release!

Judging by the trailer, it's definitely not aracade worthy.  What they should've done maybe was a DS game or something I think.

Then why isn't there yet an Archie pinball game for arcades?

Actually I was just thinking for format was what Konami did for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/The Simpsons/X-Men arcade games, a good old fashion 4-player beat em' up. And you don't even need a complicated story, just goal(s) for the player to accomplish.
